摘要: Provided is a negative electrode having a new structure for realizing a lithium secondary battery having increased charging/discharging capacities and a battery capacity that is reduced less due to repeated charging/discharging. The negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery includes a current collector substrate; a carbon nanochips layer including graphene sheets grown to incline in irregular directions independently from the current collector substrate; and a silicon thin film layer on the carbon nanochips layer, in which gaps among the carbon nanochips are formed between the silicon thin film layer and the current collector substrate. The Raman spectrum of graphite forming the carbon nanochips layer has a g/d ratio of 0.30 to 0.80, both inclusive, and the crystallinity level of the graphite is lower than that of graphite forming carbon nanowalls. The carbon nanochips layer can be formed by a plasma CVD method using a gaseous mixture of methane and hydrogen, for example.

摘要: A bending method for pipe material using a conventional device such as press device, wherein, in order to prevent wall thinning and cracks, one side of a cylindrical pipe material (1) is firmly held by a first clamp (2) with the other side loosely held by a second clamp (3). The clamp (2) is moved downward in the drawing with respect to the clamp (3), with an axially pressing force applied to the pipe material (1) at the opposite ends thereof. The pipe material (1) is plastic-deformed by being guided by a 1/4 spherical surface (4a) of a core (4) and a 1/4 spherical surface (5a) of a core (5) to form linear portions at two bending portions and at an intermediate portion therebetween.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method for producing a fluid treatment device having a honeycomb member in a metallic cylindrical housing with a shock absorbent member wrapped around the honeycomb member. The method comprises the steps of (1) inserting the honeycomb member with the shock absorbent member wrapped around the honeycomb member, into the cylindrical housing, (2) forming a necking portion on at least one end portion of the cylindrical housing, with a body portion thereof being clamped, and (3) reducing a diameter of at least a part of the cylindrical housing with the shock absorbent member received therein, together with the shock absorbent member, to such an extent that a desired inner diameter of the part of the cylindrical housing is provided enough to cause the shock absorbent member to produce a desired holding pressure for holding the honeycomb member in the cylindrical housing.

摘要: According to the spinning processing method of the invention, a steel tube (4) as a work is rotated round its longitudinal axis (X). A plurality of forming rollers (23), which are arranged around the steel tube (4), are rotated round the steel tube axis (X) in the direction ( beta ) opposite to the direction of rotation for the steel tube (4). The forming rollers (23) are further moved toward the steel tube axis (X) into pressure contact with the steel tube (4), while being moved relatively to the steel tube (4) in the axial direction (A-B) thereof, to draw the steel tube (4) to form a section of reduced diameter. The relative rotation of the steel tube (4) and the forming rollers (23) in the opposite directions ( alpha , beta ) increases the relative rotation speed between them and shortens the processing time.

摘要: In order to achieve the lightweight, low-cost and high-efficiency design of a spindle apparatus, speed-change device 50 is provided such that slots 31 are formed in one of a spindle 10 and a cam shaft 12 while spiral torque cam grooves are formed in another, and extend around the axis thereof. A torque cam pin 34 is engaged in each slot and its associated torque cam groove, and the position of the spindle 10 relative to the cam shaft 12 in a circumferential direction can be changed by moving the torque cam pins 34 in the axial direction by drive device 43. Drawing tools 8 are moved in opening and closing directions by changing the position of the spindle 10 relative to the cam shaft 12 in the circumferential direction.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of producing a container for holding a columnar member in a cylindrical housing with a shock absorbent member wrapped around the columnar member. The method comprises the steps of (1) compressing at least a part of the absorbent member wrapped around the columnar member, by a pushing member in a radial direction toward the longitudinal axis, (2) measuring a pressure applied to the absorbent member by the pushing member, (3) measuring a distance between the axis of the columnar member and an end of the pushing member contacting the absorbent member, when the measured pressure substantially equals a predetermined target pressure, to provide a target radius, (4) inserting the columnar member and the absorbent member into the housing loosely, and (5) reducing a diameter of the housing along its longitudinal axis, with the absorbent member being compressed, to such an extent that the inner radius of the housing substantially equals the target radius, to hold the columnar member and the absorbent member compressed at the target pressure, in the housing.

摘要: In a muffler, a first exhaust outlet pipe has an opening-closing device, and a second exhaust outlet pipe is connected or joined to the first exhaust outlet pipe at a downstream portion of the opening-closing device. An overall length of the second exhaust outlet pipe is greater than the distance between the above joint portion, at which the second exhaust outlet pipe is connected to the first exhaust outlet pipe, and an exhaust inlet end of the first exhaust outlet pipe, and the overall length of the second exhaust outlet pipe is shorter than or generally equal to an overall length of the first exhaust outlet pipe. With this construction, in a low engine revolution speed range, the production of abnormal sounds in the second exhaust outlet pipe is prevented.
