摘要: The invention relates to a canine carpal arthrodesis plate consisting of a long metal element comprising two arms, namely a proximal arm and a distal arm, as well as holes for the insertion of fixing screws and a central hole, the aforementioned arms being separated by an intermediate spacing at the plate application face. According to the invention, the distal arm forms a small inclination angle in relation to the proximal arm.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for determining alleles of the 27 allelic group of B locus of human leukocyte antigen (HLA-B27) from a nucleic acid sample and to a kit for performing this method. The kit comprises allele-specific primers for using in real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and allele-specific fluorescently labelled probes or an intercalating agent, for detecting fluorescence signals. The analysis is completed with the determination of the melting temperatures of the amplified nucleic acid sequences. It overcomes some of the limitations of conventional DNA-based typing methods, in terms of time, possibility of automation, and increase in resolution, while reducing the number of PCR reactions. It is useful e.g. for determining susceptibility for a specific disease.

摘要: System for providing oxygen to a patient, comprising a sensing device (41) having an oxygen sensor (41) for obtaining one or more measurements of a level of oxygen in patient's blood, an oxygen provider (45) for providing oxygen to the patient, and a control unit (40). The control unit (40) is configured to receive the level of oxygen in blood from the oxygen sensor (41), and to determine a parameter representative of oxygen insufficiency by comparing the level of oxygen in blood with an oxygen level threshold. The control unit (40) is further configured to determine an oxygen need depending at least on the parameter representative of oxygen insufficiency, and to cause the oxygen provider (45) to continuously provide the oxygen need to the patient until the oxygen need is determined to be substantially null.
