The invention relates to a wheel for a motor vehicle, comprising a wheel body (3) having a rim band (7) for accommodating a tire and comprising a rim star (9) or a wheel disk, wherein passage openings (13) for fasteners for fastening the wheel to a hub on the motor vehicle are formed in the rim star (9) or in the wheel disk. The wheel (1) is made of a polymer material, and at least one reinforcing element (29; 33) is accommodated in the rim band (7) for reinforcement.

The invention relates to a method for using cutting remainders of fiber structures, comprising the following steps: (a) cutting the cutting remainders to flakes, (b) admixing the flakes to a polymer melt, (c) kneading the polymer melt containing the flakes such that the flakes disintegrate into individual fibers, and (d) shaping the polymer melt containing the admixed fibers to a semi-finished product.

The invention relates to a vehicle wheel comprising a rim (1) made of a plastic material and comprising at least one adapter (5) for fixing the rim (1) to a wheel support (3). The at least one adapter (5) has at least one raised region (9) which engages into a depression (11) in the rim (1) or the adapter is received in an opening of the rim, or, if multiple adapters (5) are used, at least one adapter (5) engages into a depression (11) of the rim or is surrounded by the material of the rim (1). The adapter (5) is arranged such that a surface of the adapter (5) rests against the wheel support after the rim (1) is installed, or the adapter (5) is arranged such that the rim (1) is positioned between the wheel support (3) and the adapter (5) such that the adapter (5) is supported on the outside of the rim (1) after installation. The invention is characterized in that the adapter (5) is designed such that fixing means for installing the rim (1) on the wheel support are led through a feedthrough in the adapter, and the rim (1) made of the plastic material is connected to the adapter such that the plastic material of the rim (1) is not arranged in the fixing means power flow to the wheel support via the adapter.

The wheel body (3) is produced from a reinforced polymer material and is connected to a cover (5) by a friction fit, material bonding or a form fit, the cover (5) concealing the spoked rim (9) or the wheel disk. The invention further relates to a method for producing the wheel.
