    摘要: The invention relates to a method and a device, suitable for carrying out said method, for identifying traffic-relevant information (I) in a moving vehicle. According to said method, image data (B) of a visual sensor (3) and map data (K) of a navigation system (4) are pre-evaluated for identification and the results of said pre-evaluation are combined and interpreted. In order to allow a fast and modular processing of the signals, the image data (B) are scanned for traffic-relevant information (I) contained therein in a first scene interpretation (10) and are compacted to relevant image data (Br), the map data (K) are scanned for traffic-relevant information (I) contained therein in a second scene interpretation (20) and are compacted to relevant map data (Kr), and the relevant image data (Br) and the relevant map data (Kr) are supplied to a control system (40) and a state machine (50) for interpreting the image and map data, said control system (40) evaluating the image data (Br) and the map data (Kr) and transmitting an action (A) to be performed to the state machine (50), the state machine (50), as a response to the action (A) to be performed, carrying out a transition in its state space having previously defined states (Z) and outputting a piece of information (I) associated with the state (Z) or the transition.
