摘要:
Novel methods and compositions are provided for the enhanced production of fermentable or known and new secondary metabolites. The process is exemplified for penicillin. In addition, methods are provided for the production of modified P.chrysogenum δ-(L-α-aminoadipyl)-L-cysteinyl-D-valine Synthetase using recombinant DNA techniques.
摘要:
Novel and efficient methods for preparing Penicillium transformants are provided employing DNA constructs having a structural gene complementing an auxotrophic host and, preferably, the ans gene. Conditions are provided for frequency of transformation. I

Novel methods and compositions are provided for the enhanced production of fermentable or known and new β-lactam antibiotics. The process is exemplified by the production of penicillin. In addition, the P.chrysogenum and A.chrysogenum δ-(L-α-aminoadipyl)-L-cysteinyl-D-valine synthetase genes have been isolated and sequenced. Also methods are provided for the production of δ-(L-α-aminoadipyl)-L-cysteinyl-D-valine synthetase using recombined DNA techniques.

摘要:
Clustered antibiotic biosynthetic genes are employed for improvement of production of the antibiotic in microorganisms and for the isolation of other genes involved in the biosynthesis of the antibiotic. The invention is exemplified with improved production of penicillin in Penicillium crysogenum , with the isolation of another clustered biosynthetic gene(s) and with the expression of penicillin biosynthetic genes in Acremonium chrysogenum .
