A resin composition suitable for the formation of films which are excellent in transparency, weather resistance, hardness, impact resistance, resistance to fracture on bending, and moldability; and films which exhibit excellent weather resistance even when applied by lamination to moldings of plasticizer-containing PVC resin compositions. Films having the above characteristics can be made from a methacrylic resin composition (C) which is obtained by conducting the production of a methacrylate polymer (A) from a monomer mixture comprising an alkyl methacrylate as the main component by polymerization in the presence of crosslinked acrylic elastomer particles (B) obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising an alkyl acrylate as the main component with a polyfunctional monomer having two or more nonconjugated double bonds per molecule and which is characterized by being copolymerized with 0.01 to 50 parts by weight of an ultraviolet absorber represented by the general formula (1).

Disclosed herein is an acrylic resin film that is less likely to whiten on bending when laminated on a plastic molded body or the like, has well-balanced physical properties such as high surface hardness, excellent transparency, and excellent cracking resistance, and is therefore suitable for use in decorative molding. The acrylic resin film is obtained by forming, into a film, a methacrylic resin composition (D) containing a specific methacrylate-based resin (A), a rubber-containing four-stage graft copolymer (B) containing rubber particles having an average particle size of 0.2 to 0.4 µm, and a rubber-containing two-layer graft copolymer (C) containing rubber particles having an average particle size of 0.02 to 0.15 µm.

An acrylic resin composition suitable for use as films excellent in transparency, weatherability, hardness, impact resistance, flex cracking resistance, and formability. The resin composition comprises an acrylic graft copolymer (A) including a rubbery acrylic ester polymer (A-a) and a methacrylic polymer (B) comprising 80 wt.% or more methyl methacrylate units, the acrylic resin composition having a specific value of reduced viscosity (0.2-0.8 dl/g), specific values of content (5-45 wt.%) and average particle diameter (50-200 nm) of the rubbery polymer (A-a), a specific relationship between the particle diameter and the crosslinking agent amount (0.02d≤w≤0.05d; d, average particle diameter (nm); w, amount of crosslinking agent (wt.%)), and a specific value of the degree of grafting (50-250%). The resin composition contains an ultraviolet absorber incorporated therein through copolymerization.
