The arrangement comprises a nitrous oxide sensor (17) adapted to monitoring the amount of nitrous oxide present in the exhaust line (3) at a location downstream of the second catalyst (14), and a control unit (10) adapted to controlling the injection system (8-12) so that it adjusts the amount (q) of reducing agent injected into the exhaust line (3) if the sensor (17) detects that the amount of nitrous oxide is at a value which is not within a desired range (A).
