    摘要: An exhaust gas purifying apparatus provided in an exhaust passage (60) connected with an engine (50) includes an upstream catalyst (20) that is provided in the exhaust passage (60), and that removes NOx; a downstream catalyst (30) that is provided downstream of the upstream catalyst (20) in the exhaust passage (60); and supply means (40) for supplying an oxygen-activating component to a portion of the exhaust passage (60) located between the upstream catalyst (20) and the downstream catalyst (30). In the exhaust gas purifying apparatus, the upstream catalyst (20) removes NOx, and then an oxygen-activating component is supplied to the exhaust gas. Further, the downstream catalyst (30) removes a hydrocarbon compound contained in the exhaust gas.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust emission control apparatus that is used with an internal combustion engine to permit efficient use of ozone when ozone is added to an exhaust gas.
    A NOx occlusion reduction type catalyst is positioned in an exhaust path of the internal combustion engine. A NOx oxidation gas supply device is provided, and the NOx oxidation gas supply device supplies air or ozone (O 3 ) so that air or ozone (O 3 ) mixes with an exhaust gas flowing into the NOx occlusion reduction type catalyst. The ozone supply is performed when the temperature of the NOx occlusion reduction type catalyst is lower than a temperature at which a NOx occlusion acceleration effect is produced by the air supply. After the temperature of the NOx occlusion reduction type catalyst reaches the temperature at which the NOx occlusion acceleration effect is produced by the air supply, the air supply is performed and the ozone supply is shut off.

    摘要: The device for cleaning exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine includes means provided in an exhaust gas passage (15) of the internal combustion engine (10), such as a NOx catalyst (20), a SOx trap catalyst (30) provided at a position upstream from the exhaust gas cleaning means, and means (40, 41) for feeding ozone to a position upstream from the SOx trap catalyst. SOx in the exhaust gas is absorbed by the SOx trap catalyst before reaching the NOx catalyst. Particularly, it is possible to oxidize SOx in the exhaust gas by ozone as oxidizing gas to be an easily decomposable state, whereby SOx is absorbable even at a low temperature. Preferably, the SOx trap catalyst has no active points consisting of precious metal. In such a case, the SOx trap catalyst is prevented from being sulfur-poisoned whereby the deterioration of the SOx absorbing ability is avoidable.
