Um einen Dauerfilter für einen medizinischen Sterilisationsbehälter so zu verbessern, dass die Nachteile bei der Re-Sterilisierbarkeit von Kunststofffiltern überwunden werden, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der Dauerfilter aus einer Keramik hergestellt ist und dass die Keramik aus globulären Substratkörnern hergestellt ist. Ferner werden ein verbesserter Sterilisationsbehälter sowie ein verbessertes Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Dauerfilters vorgeschlagen.

The present invention aims to provide a honeycomb structured body that controls the leakage amount of particulate matter such as soot to be not higher than the regulation value even the honeycomb structured body is used at temperatures higher than 800°C, particularly temperatures not lower than 1200°C. The honeycomb structured body of the present invention includes a plurality of silicon carbide-based honeycomb fired bodies bonded with one another by adhesive layers residing therebetween, the plurality of honeycomb fired bodies each include a large number of cells longitudinally disposed in parallel with one another with a cell wall interposed therebetween, and either one end of the cell wall that surrounds the cells is sealed. The honeycomb fired bodies contains silicon carbide particles having a surface coated with a silicon-containing oxide layer. The adhesive layers contain at least alumina fibers and inorganic balloons.

A sealed honeycomb structure 100 including a honeycomb structure 4 having porous walls 1 dividedly forming inlet cells 2a and outlet cells 2b, an outlet side sealing portion 5b, and an inlet side sealing portion, wherein an opening area of the inlet cell 2a is larger than an opening area of an outlet cell 2b on a cross-section of the honeycomb structure 4, wherein at least one outlet cell 2b is a reinforced cell 22 where a reinforcing part 6 for reinforcing the outlet cell 2b is formed at at least one corner portion 21 a at which the walls 1 on a cross-section vertical to an extending direction of the cell 2 cross each other, and wherein the inlet cell 2a is a non-reinforced cell 23 where the reinforcing part 6 is not formed at all the corner portions 21 at which the walls 1 on the cross-section vertical to the extending direction of the cell 2 cross each other.

There is provided a honeycomb filter including a honeycomb base material including a porous partition wall parent material to partition and form a plurality of cells which become through channels of a fluid and extend from one end surface to the other end surface; plugged portions arranged in open frontal areas of predetermined cells in an end surface on an inflow side of the fluid which is the one end surface, and open frontal areas of the remaining cells in an end surface on an outflow side of the fluid which is the other end surface; and a porous collecting layer disposed on the surface of the partition wall parent material in the remaining cells. In a cross section orthogonal to an extending direction of the cells, a shape of the cells is a rectangular shape, and a thickness of a portion of the collecting layer which is positioned in each of corner portions of each of the cells is from one to three times that of a portion of the collecting layer which is positioned in the center of each of sides of the cell.
