摘要: The roll includes an air and water barrier article, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on the first major surface of the barrier article, first and second coating compositions disposed on the opposing second major surface of the barrier article, and a liner having a first major surface in contact with the first coating composition and the second coating composition. The first coating composition has a first peel adhesion to the first major surface of the liner that is lower than a second peel adhesion of the second coating composition to the first major surface of the liner. The pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll, and a peel adhesion between the second major surface of the liner and the pressure sensitive adhesive is less than or equal to the second peel adhesion. There are also provided methods of applying barrier articles, films made using these barrier articles, and building envelopes made using such films.

摘要: A film includes microlayers arranged into optical repeat units. Adjacent microlayers have in-plane refractive index mismatches &Dgr;nx, &Dgr;ny tailored to provide mirror-like on-axis properties, such that the film has a reflectivity for normally incident light in an extended wavelength band of at least 75% for any polarization. Adjacent microlayers also have a refractive index mismatch &Dgr;nz that provides the film with reduced reflectivity R1 and increased transmission for p-polarized light in the extended wavelength band incident on the film in a first plane of incidence at an angle &thetas;oblique, where R1 is no more than half of the minimum of on-axis reflectivity. Further, &Dgr;nx and &Dgr;ny are different enough so that for light incident on the film in a second plane of incidence orthogonal to the first plane, the film has a reflectivity R2 of at least 75% for such light that is p-polarized and incident at any angle.

摘要: The present invention is related to flexible multilayer laminates having an integrated, one-way pressure-release valve for use in a sealed container for packing gas-producing products. The pressure-release valve is partly disconnected from the rest of the laminate, forming an inflatable outlet tube with at least one large outlet opening and lifting off from the laminate under increased pressure in the pack. The one-way pressure-release valve allows for pressure release at low minimum opening pressure in a reliable and reproducible way.

摘要: The invention relates to a multi-layer composite material (1) for producing plastic molded parts, to a container composed of such a composite material, and to a method for producing the container. The composite material comprises a first structuring, self-supportingly stiff outer layer (2) composed of a fiber composite material, a second structuring outer layer (3), a first intermediate layer (4) composed of a barrier plastic and a second tear-resistant intermediate layer (5) composed of a thin tear-resistant film, and at least one adhesion promoter layer (6, 7, 8), wherein the intermediate layers (4, 5) and the adhesion promoter layer (6, 7, 8) are embedded between the structuring outer layers (2, 3) and form an adhesive bond with the structuring outer layers (2, 3) and wherein the structuring outer layers (2, 3) each have a thickness that is a multiple of the thickness of each of the intermediate layers (4, 5) or of the adhesion promoter layer (6, 7, 8).
