To provide a process for producing a fluoroalkyl iodide, whereby the selectivity for a fluoroalkyl iodide having a desired degree of polymerization is high and the productivity is high. A process for producing a fluoroalkyl iodide (2) represented by R f CF 2 CF 2 I (wherein R f is a fluoroalkyl group having at most 4 carbon atoms), which comprises reacting a fluoroalkyl iodide (1) represented by R f I with tetrafluoroethylene in the presence of a radical initiator, wherein a first reaction step of supplying and reacting tetrafluoroethylene and a radical initiator to the fluoroalkyl iodide (1), is followed by repeating (n-1) times (provided that n is an integer of at least 3) a subsequent reaction step of supplying and reacting a radical initiator, or a radical initiator and tetrafluoroethylene, to a reaction mixture (1) formed in the first reaction step.

Disclosed are porous polymer/carrier solid phase reactants which consist of a polymer that consists of fine particles and is situated in the pore space of porous carrier materials. Reactive groups are bound to the polymer. Said groups act as reactants in organic-chemical syntheses. Said solid phase reactants can be produced as bulk material or tubes, plates or rods, can be built in pressure sealed housings and can be used in flow-through apparatuses or microtitration fields for the synthesis of organic products. Potential active agents can be produced at high speed by using the inventive porous polymer/carrier solid phase reactants that can be flown through convectively, whereby production requires only little isolation and cleaning.

The invention disclose a hydrogen fluoride containing composition comprising hydrogen fluoride and a compound which is liquid in the standard state (25 °C, 1 atmosphere) and has a boiling point of 120 °C or more and pka of 12 or more at 25 °C, and use of the composition for a fluorination agent. The compound which can be preferably used is represented by the formula (1): wherein R 1 to R 4 are a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group and can be the same or different, and R 1 or R 2 or R 3 and R 4 can bond to form a ring having a nitrogen atom or a nitrogen atom and other hetero atom, or R 1 and R 3 can bond to form a ring having a nitrogen atom or a nitrogen atom and other hetero atom.
