The ignition plugs 26 include first and second ignition plugs 30, 32 for each of the combustion chambers 20. The first ignition plug 30 is located on a cylinder axis, and the second plug 32 is arranged offset relative to the first ignition plug 30 so as to be away from the transmission member housing space CT in a widthwise direction WD of the engine along which the crankshaft 2 extends.

Inside the oil pan 18, an oil pump 96 and an oil strainer 102 are provided. The oil pump 96 is disposed coaxially with the crank shaft 20 and is driven by the crank shaft 20. The crank shaft 20 has one side and another side respectively supported pivotably by the platy support member 70 and the crankcase 12. The support member 70 is provided in the crankcase 12 in such a fashion that two surfaces of the support member 70 are covered by the crankcase 12 and the oil pan 18 and there can be communication between the crankcase 12 and the oil pan 18.

    摘要: A power device used in vehicles including automobiles has an internal combustion engine (1) serving as a prime mover for a vehicle and a Stirling engine (4) for driving a power generator (3). A higher temperature heat source for the Stirling engine (4) is the heat of exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine (1), and electric power generated by the power generator (3) is supplied to an electric motor (2) driving auxiliary machines (6-9) and to a battery (5) capable of supplying power to the electric motor (2). The rpm of the Stirling engine (4) is controlled by a field regulator (15) controlling the load on the power generator (3), so that the rpm is set at an optimum value which yields the maximum shaft output or substantially maximum shaft output of the Stirling engine (4). This ensures that even when the fuel consumption of the combustion engine serving as a prime mover discharging waste heat which serves as a higher temperature heat source for the Stirling engine is reduced to reduce the shaft output of the Stirling engine, it is driven to the extent that the auxiliary machines exert sufficient performance.

This gear (Full Saving) turns flue gases,thermal energy into mechanical energy generated by the compressed air which is turned by using the Turbocampoumd 2 turbine and by using the variable-speed drive connected to the flywheel engine.The superchargers operating in such aelectronic way and the ones operating with the flue gases recovering by means of the Turbocampound 2 split turbine structure will develop the rotation power and will turn the compressed air power (kinetic force) into the rotation power (mechanical force). If this gear is used for trucks you can take the Full Saving 2 and the Full Saving 3 options into consideration since you can not use these for motorcars owing to their dimensions and costs.

    摘要: A power take-off apparatus for use on vehicles comprises a pulley (15) connected directly to the end of a vehicle engine crankshaft (14) coaxially with the crankshaft (14). An electrically operated clutch is mounted on the pulley (15). The clutch comprises at least one clutch plate (16) fixed to said pulley (15) and a clutch unit (22) movable to engage and disengage the at least one clutch plate (16). A clutch control circuit (21), when operated, engages the clutch. Said clutch unit (22) is mounted on a mounting plate (20), the mounting plate (20) itself being supported by pillars (18) extending past the clutch and pulley (15) and connected to the vehicle engine block (10). Drive means for taking power from the clutch unit are mounted on the mounting plate (20), taking the form of a drive pulley (25) or a hydraulic or pneumatic pump (24) to provide fluid under pressure to energise an external fluid operated motor acting as a prime mover for equipment such as a close coupled compressor, generator or water pump.
