Abstract:
A structural component having an internal support structure extending between outer wall portions of the component with one or more compartments included within the support structure. The support structure has support members including internal walls positioned between and/or defined by the compartments. At least one support member connects between the outer wall portions of the component to enhance the structural integrity of the component. The structural component, including the internal support, are cast from a molten material, and in some cases the support members of the internal support structure are formed with a rectilinear configuration. In some cases the cast structural component is a container and the one or more compartments are configured to store a fluid, such as a gas or a liquid. One or more preforms can be used to form a container and may be retained or eliminated from the container after casting.
Abstract:
In a process for regasifying low-temperature liquefied gas in which some of the low-temperature liquefied gas situated in a tank (1) is brought from the tank (1) into a metering reservoir (2), the metering reservoir (2) is separated from the tank (1), and a metered amount of the low-temperature liquefied gas is then fed to an evaporator (20), whereupon the vaporized amount of gas is charged into a high-pressure gas reservoir (24) or is fed into a pipe network, whereupon the evaporator (20) is separated from the metering reservoir (2), the pressure in the metering reservoir (2) is lowered and the metering reservoir (2) is again charged with liquefied gas from the tank (1), the pressure in the metering reservoir (2) is lowered in that the gas situated in the metering reservoir (2) is conducted through a heat exchanger (14) in which the gas is cooled and/or partially condensed, wherein the condensate possibly formed in the heat exchanger and the cooled gas at the remaining gas pressure are guided into the tank (1), and the cooled gas is condensed in the part of the tank (1) containing the liquefied gas.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pressure container (1) having a jacket comprising partial cylindrical jacket shells (2, 4) that are located parallel next to each other and define a bead (8, 10) in the longitudinal direction. The front ends thereof are closed off by a curved bottom (16,18), wherein between the partial cylindrical shells (2, 4) a tractive element designed in particular as a flat wall (6, 6a, 6b) is arranged, the upper or lower edge (12, 14) of which extends into or penetrates the upper or lower bead region (8, 10). The invention further comprises a shell element (42) running in the longitudinal direction and connecting the jacket shells (2, 4) and the tractive element (6), said shell element being at least sectionally rigidly connected to the jacket shells (2, 4) and to the particularly beveled edge (12, 12a; 14, 14a) of the tractive element (6) such so that in the bead region (8, 10) a carrier structure is formed. The invention further relates to a transport container arrangement, particularly a tank container unit (100) having a pressure container (1) according to the invention.

Abstract:
Cryogenic tank intended for containing a cryogenic fluid, in particular a space launcher tank intended to contain a cryogenic propellant, comprising a wall (1 ) defining a storage volume for the cryogenic fluid, characterized in that it includes at least one partition (2) located in the storage volume, said partition (2) defining an upper volume (VS) and a lower volume (Vl) for the fluid in the tank (1) communicating via at least one opening (3) formed in the partition (2), in order, on the one hand, to allow the liquid to flow under gravity from the upper volume (VS) into the lower volume (Vl) and, on the other hand, to prevent the fluid from rising from the lower volume (Vl) into the upper volume (VS) under the action of acceleration forces.
