In certain example embodiments, light emitting diodes (LEDs) may be disposed on a deformable and flexible backbone sheet and chained together in an array, e.g., via flexible wiggle wires. Such flexible wiggle wires may also provide an electrical connection to an external power source. An optical out-coupling layer stack (OCLS) system may help serve as an index matching layer, heat sink, étendue conserver, etc. The backbone may be formed to a shape tailored to its ultimate application. Applications may include, for example, automotive (such as Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) applications), lighting, signage, and/or other applications. In an example CHMSL application, the deformable sheet with the LED array thereon has a step, sinusoidal, or other shape matched to the angle and/or curvature of the glass such that the LEDs produce light primarily in a direction parallel to a surface on which a vehicle is located.

A metal sheet is stamped to form a conductive plate with 3D space, and the conductive plate includes an illumination circuit, and a support frame for supporting the conductive plate to form different types of illumination apparatuses. The support frame is provided for supporting and fixing the conductive plate to facilitate the conductive plate to form a 3D curved surface, and an LED chip soldering point protection mechanism is provided for protecting each LED chip soldering point, so that the illumination apparatus is applicable for mass production to improve the yield rate and meet the high heat dissipation efficiency, large-range illumination, material saving, lightweight and/or environmental protection requirements.

A 360-degree LED light-emitting flame lamp capable of simulating a flame shaking effect comprises a lampshade (1) and a light source (2) disposed in the lampshade. The light source comprises a lamp housing (201) and a base (202) disposed at one end of the lamp housing. A lamp holder (203) is disposed on the base. A lamp panel support (204) is disposed in the lamp housing. The outer surface of the lamp panel support is covered with a columnar or polyhedral LED circuit board (205). LED lamp beads (206) are distributed on the LED circuit board. A control circuit board (207) and a driving power source (208) are sequentially and electrically connected between the LED circuit board and the lamp holder. The control circuit board outputs PWM signals according to a certain time sequence so as to control the LED lamp beads to be turned on and turned off and to flicker, and the driving power source drives the control circuit board and the LED circuit board to work. The flame lamp achieves a flame jumping effect in various directions by 360 degrees at the outer portion of the lampshade, and the flame effect is formed by means of light emission of the light source, so as to achieve the objectives of being free of noise and reducing power consumption and making the flame lamp suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
