摘要:
The data affecting selection of routing is retrieved from operator server using a service network when a connection setup request is received, and the retrieved data is forwarded to first terminal. A desired route is selected based on the retrieved data, and the first terminal is connected to the second terminal along selected route by service network based on instructions from the first terminal. An independent claim is also included for telecommunication arrangement.

A system, method, computer product and service are provided which, when a subscriber's VoIP client is online and the subscriber's non-VoIP wireless or fixed line number is called, will automatically route the call over IP to the subscriber's VoIP client. This routing may be performed by the subscriber's wireless or fixed line home operator and can be conditioned to depend on whether the non-VoIP number is roaming or not answering.

Techniques for using billing services to manage a personal address book are provided. The techniques comprise receiving a call detail record (CDR) for a plain old telephone system (POTS) or a voice-over-IP (VOIP) call by a user. The CDR is created by a telecommunication carrier that routed the call. The CDR may be stored on a telecommunications server associated with the telecommunications carrier. Address information for the call is determined from the CDR. This address information is added to the personal address book for the user. This address information may be available for the user when using an IM client.
摘要:
A private branch exchange (PBX) or other communication system switch (109) is configured to establish connections for at least first (302) and second calls (304) associated with an external endpoint, using respective first and second trunks. Upon detection of a voice path connection between the first and second calls in a network external to the switch (306), the switch conferences the first and second calls together within the switch and drops at least one of the trunk connections (308). The switch may detect the voice path connection using an active approach in which a designated signal is generated on one of the first and second trunks and a determination is made as to whether the designated signal is detected on the other trunk. As another example, the switch may detect the voice path connection using a passive approach which involves monitoring the first and second trunks to determine whether they are connected in the external network.
