The housing is also provided with an access aperture (132) and the selector fork rail (105) can be released and slid axially within the housing to allow removal of the selector forks (100, 101, 102, 103) one by one from one end of the rail (105) via the aperture (132).

In the driver's cabin there is provided a gearshift lever console (6) signalling the shifting commands by the position indicator switches (11, 12) to an electronic control device (15) which controls the gear shifting gate of the gear-box. For the feedback of the gear states of the gear-box (1) to the gear shifting lever (7), there is provided in the gear lever console (6) a working cylinder (18) acting directly by a mechanical link on the gear lever (7).

In a gear shifting device for a manual gear-box of a motor vehicle with a gear shifting lever enabling to change gear by means of a gear shifting rod, the motion transfer from the gear shifting lever to the gear shifting rod is effected in a non mechanical mode. The motion of the gear shifting lever from neutral to a gear shifting position is carried out in two stages, the first stage providing for the preselection and the second stage for the engagement of the selected gear. A locking device allows the gear shifting lever to be moved from the first stage to the second stage only when the required conditions for a perfect engagement of the selected gear are fulfilled, that is to say when the clutch is actuated and when the pinions of the gear to be shifted are synchronized.

Die Schleppkolben (7, 8) sind voneinander durch einen auf der Kolbenstange (11) vorgesehenen Anschlag (9) getrennt, wobei im Schleppkolbenzylinder (1a) ein entsprechender Ansatz oder Anschlag (10) vorgesehen ist, so daß zwischen den Stirnseiten des Zylinders (1) und den auf der Kolbenstange beweglichen Schleppkolben (7 bzw. 8) Druckräume (5 bzw. 6) entstehen, die durch einen Überströmkanal verbunden sind und über einen Anschluß (14) Verbindung mit den Steuerventilen (34) haben. Die Druckräume sind nur während der Betätigung ihrer Kolben mit der Druckleitung verbunden, so daß die Kolben sonst frei beweglich sind.

An engine of a construction vehicle is controlled by a system which includes an engine control operation transmitting mechanism having a loose spring means and connecting a fuel control lever (7) and a governor control lever (3). A decelerator cylinder (9) accommodating a piston therein and having a spring for biasing the piston against the operation of a pressure chamber defined therein has the piston rod connected through a yoke (8) having an elongate hole formed therein to said transmitting mechanism. A solenoid valve (12) is arranged selectively to supply fluid under pressure delivered by a hydraulic pump (13) driven by the engine for exclusive use in control of the system into the pressure chamber of the decelerator cylinder, and to cut off the fluid supply. An electric circuit (16) controls the solenoid valve. The decelerator cylinder is so arranged that, when the piston is not subjected to the fluid pressure force, the operation of the fuel control lever is directly transmitted to the governor control lever, whilst, when the piston is subjected to the fluid pressure force, the governor control lever is set at a decelerating position even when the fuel control lever is held at a full speed running position, thereby reducing the rate of revolution of the engine to an idling speed condition.

The selecting rod (5) is pivotally mounted on the gear box (1) by a ball joint (12) and carries, close to the latter, a selecting lever (7, 14). One arm of this lever carries a retractable finger member (18) actuated by a cable (19). This finger member normally cooperates with an abutment (22) of the gear box so as to prevent the selection of the reverse speed, except when a pull is exerted on the cable by raising a sleeve (26) which is slidable on the gear shift lever (4). Application of the device is suited to automobile vehicles.
