PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent body that has improved performances by improving luminous efficiency of a double side emission type organic electroluminescent element and improving light extraction efficiency by suppressing loss of emitted light, in the organic electroluminescent body that comprises the organic electroluminescent element and a reflector and extracts light from one side.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent body comprises: a pair of transparent electrodes; an electroluminescent element including a light emitting unit held between the transparent electrodes; and a reflector provided at one side of the organic electroluminescent element. At least one of the transparent electrodes is made of a metal transparent electric conductive layer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white light-emitting organic electroluminescent element with a low driving voltage and high efficiency.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a light emitting layer between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. At least the light emitting layer is formed by a wet deposition method, and the light emitting layer contains a charge transport material and a light emitting material. The charge transport material contains a hole transport material and an electron transport material having specific partial structures. The light emitting material has at least three or more kinds, includes at least two or more kinds of light emission maximum as light emitting spectra, and has a hole injection transport layer adjacent to the light emitting layer between the positive electrode and the light emitting layer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent compound having a ligand-metal complex skeleton exhibiting remarkably excellent electroluminescent and physical characteristics relative to a prior art organic base material by overcoming problems associated with prior art techniques, and an electroluminescent device comprising thus prepared electroluminescent compound as its base material. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an electroluminescent compound represented by chemical formula (1): L 1 L 1 M(Q) m , and an electroluminescent device comprising the same as its base material. The electroluminescent compound, if employed in an organic electroluminescent device (OLED) as its base material, remarkably reduces its operating voltage and improves its power efficiency.
