Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition enabling smooth operation of a member to be lubricated even under a wide range of temperature conditions, and excellent in silencing effect of the member to be lubricated. SOLUTION: In the grease composition including a thickener and a base oil, the base oil includes at least one first base oil selected from poly-α-olefin and ethylene-α-olefin oligomer and at least one second base oil selected from polybutene, polyisobutylene, polymethacrylate and styrene-based copolymer, the content of the first base oil based on the entire base oil is more than 65 mass%, the content of the second base oil is 1 mass% to less than 35 mass%, kinematic viscosity of the base oil at 40°C is 350-1,400 mm 2 /s, kinematic viscosity of the first base oil at 40°C is 300-1,200 mm 2 /s, and a kinematic viscosity of the second base oil at 40°C is 1,500-200,000 mm 2 /s. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition which is suitable for use in the structure parts of the automobile components, OA/AV equipment and the like, can reduce the occurrence of stain with oil and failures, and prevents oil separation under the conditions of high temperatures.SOLUTION: The grease composition comprises a thickener, a base oil comprising a hydrocarbon oil, and a polymer alloy of an olefin copolymer and a styrene-based copolymer, wherein the polymer alloy has a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 450,000. The polymer alloy is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 10.0 mass% based on the total mass of the composition.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity joint that secures the retention property of grease in a slide part to thereby suppress fretting wear.SOLUTION: A constant velocity joint J includes: an outer race 1 having a ball rolling groove 1a on the inside surface thereof; an inner race 2 having a ball rolling groove 2a on the outside surface thereof; a ball 3 rolling in the ball rolling grooves 1a, 2a; a cage 4 preventing the ball 3 from being deviated from the ball rolling grooves 1a, 2a; and grease 5 filled between the outer race 1 and the inner race 2. In at least a part of the outside surface of the cage 4 and the inside surface of the cage 4, films 14a, 14b subjected to manganese phosphate processing are formed.
