Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position control device capable of appropriately controlling an operation position of an actuator. SOLUTION: The device includes a relative position sensor detecting a relative movement position from a reference movement position of a control shaft of an operation angle change mechanism, and an electronic control unit including RAM storing the relative movement position detected by the sensor. Drive control of the motor is executed based on operation angle of an intake valve determined based on the relative movement position and the reference movement position. The electronic control unit includes SRAM storing operation conditions of the check flag. The check flag is a flag which is turned off when electric power supply to the SRAM is stopped (before t22, after t26). When the operation condition of the checker flag is changed from off to on (t22), learning of operation angle learning operation angle of the intake valve is executed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis device for the fuel vapor purge system considering influence of pressure drop in an evaporation route due to condensation of fuel vapor in a canister. SOLUTION: Reference pressure Pref at a reference hole at time t1-t2 is measured and pressure in the evaporation route after time t2 is measured. ECU 72 executes failure diagnosis using a value obtained by compensating the reference pressure Pref at the reference hole in a reduction direction by ΔP as judgment pressure for diagnosing existence of a failure with considering pressure drop component in the evaporation route due to condensation of fuel vapor at a time of adsorption in the canister 24 when vapor concentration in the evaporation route is high. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an emission from being deteriorated before and after the defect of a downstream side sensor is detected by suppressing the abnormality of an air-fuel ratio by sub air-fuel ratio feedback control based on an output from the downstream side sensor of an exhaust emission purification catalyst. SOLUTION: The occurrence frequency distribution of the output voltage Vo2 of an O2 sensor present on the downstream side of a catalytic converter resulting from cracking in element is deviated to the lean side of a standard occurrence frequency distribution. This state is detected (S188, S190, S194) by using an occurrence frequency Lr meeting the requirement of V02 COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis device for fuel vapor purge system which can precisely perform diagnosis of leakage failure of an evaporation passage including a canister and a fuel tank, and suppress cost increase without providing exclusive passage for failure diagnosis in the fuel tank. SOLUTION: The evaporation passage is formed by disposing the canister 22 in the fuel tank 21. In diagnosis of leakage failure of the evaporation passage, a differential pressure is formed between an internal pressure of the canister 22 and an internal pressure of the fuel tank 21 by feeding fuel vapor in the fuel tank 21 to the canister 22 with a motor-driven air pump 50 through a vapor passage 23. An ECU 60 determines the leakage failure of the evaporation passage based on the differential pressure to be formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic device for an evaporative purging system capable of preventing an erroneous determination due to opening of a cap when supplying oil and continuing oil supply even when supplying oil during a failure diagnosis and reducing cost. SOLUTION: In this failure diagnostic device for the evaporative purging system which adsorbs fuel vapor within a fuel tank to a canister, performs a purge control of fuel vapor to an intake system, makes the inside of a system as closed space of a negative pressure state and has no route to escape pressure rising within the space during the failure diagnosis of the presence or absence of leakage, a vehicle is judged to be stopped (YES in step S110) and the failure diagnosis is stopped (step S140) when pressure within the fuel tank is decided to exceed a decision value (YES in step S130). Because the evaporative purging system to be the closed space is opened, rising pressure escapes and pressure within the system is lowered, oil supply can be continued.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect further reliable introduction of outside air to a suction system through a gas recirculation hose dislocated from a connection part to a recirculation gas amount control valve. SOLUTION: A connection part 10 on the valve side of the gas recirculation hose 15 is cut obliquely based on its central axis and provided with a circular opening part 19a. When the gas recirculation hose 15 slips out and is dislocated from a hose connection part 13c of a PCV valve 13 mounted on an upper surface 12a of a cylinder head cover 12, the connection part 19 on the valve side is sucked to an upper surface 12a by a negative pressure introduced through a suction pipe 14. In this case, by sucking the connection part 19 on the valve side approximately in a vertical state to the upper surface 12a, an opening part 19a is opened to an external part.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic device for abnormality in an engine system which can accurately and early diagnose the abnormality even in the case of limiting a chance of abnormality diagnosis like in the case that an engine is repeatedly operated and stopped. SOLUTION: Under the supposition that a thermostat is normally operated, a warming counter is operated in accordance with a cooling water temperature of the engine estimated based on its operating condition, and abnormality decision of the thermostat is permitted based on the condition that a counter value of this operated warming counter is a prescribed value or more. Since the warming counter value is stored in a region 141 of the warming counter value in a standby RAM 140, the warming counter value before stopping is held despite stopping of the engine. In the case of restarting the engine, based on a stopping time of the engine, an intake air temperature or a water temperature at restarting time, additionally on the warming counter value when the engine is stopped, the warming counter value at restarting time is operated.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnostic device capable of accurately diagnosing the presence or absence of abnormality in a fuel tank at an early period just after staring an engine. SOLUTION: The fuel tank 20 in a fuel vapor purge system can gas-phase communicate with an intake passage 12 of an engine through a vapor passage 33, a canister 40, and a purge passage 34. A forced opening/closing valve (a oil feeding valve) 60 heteronomously controlled by an ECU exists in the middle of the vapor passage 33. At cold starting of an engine, the ECU measures tank internal pressure in a fuel tank sealing state by a pressure sensor 31, and compares an absolute value of a difference between the tank internal pressure and atmospheric pressure with a specified determining value. When the absolute value of the difference is not less than the specified determining value, the fuel tank 20 is determined as having no abnormality such as leakage. Otherwise, after that, a leakage diagnosis of the tank and the whole of the purge system is conducted by means of negative pressure and the like.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnostic device for an evaporation purge system highly precisely diagnosing the abnormality in an early stage even in the case where pressure change phases are changed in an evaporator channel by various factors. SOLUTION: The channel inside of this evaporation purge system is decompressed and, when the pressure in the channel inside becomes a prescribed pressure or less, the channel inside is tightly closed. The pressure change amounts per a unit time ΔP(i), δP(i+1),... right after the tight closing are monitored under the prescribed pressure value P(i), P(i+1),.... When all of the pressure change amounts ΔP(i), ΔP(i+1),... are a first judgment value (B) or more and all the change rates (ΔP(i)/ΔP(i+1)), (ΔP(i+1)/ΔP(i+2)),... of the pressure change amounts are second judgment values (C, D, E) or less, it is judged to be abnormal.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly diagnose very little leakage in an evaporation passage, by preferably increasing diagnostic frequency even after pressure for a diagnosis is once introduced in the evaporation passage. SOLUTION: A failure diagnostic apparatus is constituted of an electronic control unit(ECU). At a time of a diagnosis, the ECU introduces a predetermined negative pressure in an evaporation passage constituted of a fuel tank, a canister, a purge control valve, an air introducing valve, and a negative pressure introduction control valve to hermetically seal the evaporation passage. The ECU monitors pressure change speed in the sealed evaporation passage. Based on transition of the pressure change speed, the ECU diagnoses whether a leaking hole exists in the evaporation passage or not, and then carries out a failure diagnosis of the air introducing valve and negative pressure introduction control valve (time t1 to t3). With keeping the air introducing valve open, keeping purge control valve close, and opening the negative pressure introduction control valve, atmospheric pressure is forcedly introduced in the evaporation passage (time t3 and t4).
