摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To profitably obtain the subject compound free from the deterioration of color tone due to preservation and useful for cosmetics, perfumeries such as shampoos, etc., by reacting a specific multi-hydrophilic group-type amino acid (salt), etc., with an acid halide and subsequently treating the reaction solution with a reducing agent. SOLUTION: This method for producing a multi-hydrophilic group type N-long chain acylcarboxylic acid or its salt comprises reacting (A) a compound of formula I [R is a 1-3C (branched) alkylene; Y is a group of the formula: COOM (M is H, a cation), a group of the formula: OSO3 M, a group of the component: OPO(OM)2 , etc.; (m) is 1-3] with (B) a compound of the formula: R COX [R is a 5-21C (branched) alkyl, alkenyl, hydroxyalkyl; X is a halogen] and, if necessary, subsequently exchanging the salt, or reacting a compound of formula II with the component B, hydrolyzlng the obtained compound and, if necessary, exchanging the salt, and subsequently treating the reaction solution containing a compound of formula III with (D) a reducing agent such as sodium borohydride or sodium sulfite e.g. in an amount of 50ppm to 5wt.% based on the theoretical amount of the compound of formula III at a pH of 8-14.
