CONSTITUTION: A device for joining metal plates includes shear blades(3,4) positioned at both sides opposite to each other with respect to an overlapping part of metal plate bars(1,2) interposed between the shear blades, and moving elements(5,6) for moving the shear blades relatively for forming the overlapping part of metal plate bars slantingly, wherein the shear blades have a triangular pole shaped protrusion part(30,40) set an inclination angle rather than a perpendicular angle with respect to a metal plate bar thickness direction to apply a downward pressure in a stroke range not to completely cut the metal plate bars, and the metal plate bars are overlapped between the shear blades for forming a joining part by the plastic movement deformation, wherein a compression force is applied to the joining part according to the overlapping amount and the compression part is retracted after finishing the joining, improving the joining strength. the protrusion parts of the shear blades generate a pressure applied to the shear surface of the metal plate bars with respect to each other, increasing the compression force applied to the joining part.
