The method further includes adapting the media stream according to the adaptation strategy to produce an output media stream.

摘要： A multimedia device configured to support video in a session of a call includes one or more media providing devices and one or more computer codes directed to performing an initialization process for the one or more media providing devices. The initialization process may be performed at an initialization time prior to or substantially equal to a first time prior to or substantially equal to a reception time associated with receiving an indication of call acceptance from a called device, or second time prior to or substantially equal to an acceptance time associated with call acceptance by the multimedia device. The multimedia device also includes one or more computer codes directed to transmitting one or more preferences for the session according to a session setup procedure, one or more media processors coupled to the one or more media providing devices, and one or more computer codes directed to transmitting media on one or more media channels associated with the session.

摘要： A method of establishing a reduced setup time session through a gateway includes receiving a first capability message transmitted from the first terminal to the gateway and receiving a second capability message transmitted from the second terminal to the gateway. The method also includes processing the first capability message and the second capability message to form a third capability message and a fourth capability message. The method further includes transmitting a third capability message from the gateway to the first terminal and transmitting a fourth capability message from the gateway to the second terminal. Moreover, the method includes receiving a first request message transmitted from the second terminal to the gateway and transmitting a second request message from the gateway to the first terminal. Transmitting the second request message is performed independent of receiving the first request message. Additionally, the method includes receiving a first response message transmitted from the second terminal to the gateway and transmitting a second response message from the gateway to the first terminal. Transmitting the second response message is performed in response to receiving the first response message.

摘要： A method of providing video ringback services includes receiving, at a VRBT server, a setup message from a terminal originating a call and providing providing a first message from the VRBT server to an MSC. The method also includes establishing a communication session between the terminal originating the call and the VRBT server through the bidirectional bearer, thereafter, providing a video ringback stream from the VRBT server to the terminal originating the call, and receiving a first message from a terminal terminating the call indicating that the terminal terminating the call has answered. The method further includes providing a second message from the VRBT server to the MSC, wherein the second message is interpreted at the MSC as an indication to begin charging for a session and providing a communication path between the terminal originating the call and the terminal terminating the call.
