Abstract:
Provided is a method of purifying human papillomavirus (HPV) L1 proteins with high purity and high efficiency. According to the purification method, a purification purity and yield of HPV L1 proteins can be considerably increased when heating/chilling is formed by treating a cell homogenate with a reducing agent. In addition, VLPs of the HPV L1 protein purified by the purification method have excellent antigenicity and immunogenicity.

Abstract:
A disease management system and method that use a wired and wireless communication network, in which motivation and consistent encouragement to change a behavior of a user or a patient may be given by close acquaintances or other people who have knowledge about a corresponding disease, instead of an expert. Thus, with regard to disease management that consistently needs normal and frequent communication, a role of an expert may be minimized to a necessary degree, and a more effective and efficient health care service, compared to a conventional health care service, may be provided.
Abstract:
A pad conditioning disk, a pre-conditioning unit, and a CMP apparatus having the same are provided. The pad conditioning disk includes a base in which mountain-type tips and valley-type grooves are repeatedly connected to each other, and a cutting layer formed on the base layer. The cutting layer including conditioning particles deposited on surfaces of the tips and grooves. A surfaces roughness of conditioning particles deposited on the surfaces of the tips is less than a surface roughness of conditioning particles deposited on the surfaces of the grooves.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical vaccine composition for a human cervical cancer, comprising: (a) (i) a L1 virus-like particle (VLP) of human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16, a L1 VLP of HPV type 18, or a combination thereof; and (ii) a deacylated non-toxic lipooligosaccharide (LOS); and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier; and a method for preparing a human papillomavirus (HPV) L1 virus-like particle (VLP). The pharmaceutical vaccine composition of the present invention is in both Th1-type immune response (cellular immunity) and Th2-type immune response (humoral immunity) against HPV more excellent than Cervrix™ and Gardasil™, exhibiting a superior efficacy as a vaccine for a human cervical cancer.
Abstract:
A plasma display apparatus having a structure of a base chassis to reduce EMI emission is provided. The plasma display apparatus includes a panel, a driving circuit, and a base chassis having at least one slit formed thereon.
Abstract:
A plasma display apparatus having a coupling structure between a base chassis and a spread sheet to reduce EMI emission is provided. The plasma display apparatus includes a panel, a driving circuit, a base chassis, a spread sheet, and a conductive gasket through which the spread sheet is coupled to the base chassis.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display having an electrode pad for compensating for differences in resistance of electrode links. A pad portion in contact with a driving circuit includes a transparent electrode pattern having a length that depends on the length of an associated electrode link that is connected between the pad portion and a corresponding signal line at a pixel area on which a plurality of liquid crystal cells are arranged. Accordingly, resistance differences that depend on the length of the electrode links are compensated for using electrode pads, thereby making signal conductors with substantially equal resistances.
Abstract:
A combustion apparatus for recovering heat according to the present invention comprising a combustion tank for burning fuel contained in the interior by combustion air supplied from the exterior, characterized in that: a combustion chamber surrounded by an inner wall for burning fuel is defined in said combustion tank; a swirl flow supply chamber for supplying a combustion air into said combustion chamber is defined around the outer circumference of the inner wall of said combustion tank; a combustion air supply passage for supplying combustion air from said swirl flow supply chamber into said combustion chamber is defined on the inner wall of said combustion tank; said combustion air supply passage is slanted at a predetermined angle to the vertical direction of the inner face of the inner wall in said combustion tank; and the combustion air generates a swirl flow in the combustion chamber. Furthermore, the combustion apparatus for recovering heat according to the invention characterized in that; an air cooling chamber for supplying combustion air supplied from the exterior into said swirl flow supply chamber is defined around the outer circumference of said swirl flow supply chamber in said combustion tank, and the combustion air supplied from the exterior is supplied through said cooling chamber into the swirl flow supply chamber to decrease a heat loss and to improve a thermal efficiency.
Abstract:
A voltage controlled oscillator and a phase locked loop circuit having the same reduce power consumption by using charges leaked into a ground voltage terminal for an output driving operation with characteristics of both output terminals having different phases in a unit delay cell. The voltage controlled oscillator includes a plurality of unit delay cells connected serially. Each unit delay cell comprises a differential amplification unit and an output driving unit. The differential amplification unit compares a plurality of input voltages having different phases and amplifies the comparison result. The output driving unit, which is connected to both output terminals of the differential amplification units, drives an output voltage of another output terminal with a potential of one of both output terminals.
