摘要: Input data may be coded in accordance with a coding method that allows for either coded data or messages to be transmitted with pre-determined, but unequal reliability over a communication channel. The coding method may allow the messages to be transmitted with higher reliability than the coded data. Messages may be transmitted when they are available. Otherwise, the coded data may be transmitted.

摘要: An evolved Node B (eNB) for allocating resources for a device-to-device (D2D) link between User Equipments (UEs) is described. The eNB includes a processor and instructions stored in memory that is in electronic communication with the processor. The eNB allocates resources for a D2D link by using at least one Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). The eNB further indicates a D2D link direction.

摘要: A method for servicing emergency messages by a user equipment (UE) is described. High priority communication (HPC) activity is detected on a Long Term Evolution (LTE) transceiver. Adjustments to be made to one or more transceivers to account for the HPC activity are determined. Settings of the one or more transceivers are adjusted to account for the HPC activity. An end of the HPC activity on the LTE transceiver is detected. The settings of the one or more transceivers are adjusted to account for the end of the HPC activity.

摘要: A receiver has been provided, with a pre-whitening filter, to improve the probability of recovering a received signal in the presence of colored noise. Colored noise can be multipath or transmission signals to other receivers in the same spectral bandpass. The receiver system uses colored noise statistics to provide an optimal estimation in the despreading of the transmitted information. Auxiliary systems in the receiver cancel the pilot, or system acquisition symbols, improving even further the probability or recovering information in the despreading of transmitted signal. A method of pre-whitening a signal received in the presence of colored noise is also provided.

摘要: A wideband receiver, including a time-varying finite impulse response (FIR) filter, has been provided to combine multipath communications of data in response to pilot channel timing information. The time-varying FIR processes the multipath communications through independent signal paths. Each signal path includes a variable delay circuit and a variable gain circuit. The delay of each separate signal path is adjusted and made equal in response to the pilot channel timing information. Likewise, the gain of each signal path is adjusted in response to pilot channel gain information to maximize the signal to noise ratio of the combined signal paths. The separate signal paths are then summed in a combiner circuit. The time-varying FIR permits the data communication to be summed either before, or after demodulation. A method of combining multipath communications using a time-varying FIR is also provided.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices provide improved proximity services. In one aspect, a base station includes an information generating module and an information transmission module. The information generating module generates control information for causing a mobile device to initiate a discovery signal transmission procedure. The discovery signal transmission procedure allows the mobile device to be discovered. The information transmission module transmits the control information to the mobile device. In another aspect, a mobile device includes an information receiving module, a control module, and a signal transmission module. The information receiving module receives control information. The control module initiates a discovery signal transmission procedure for proximity services responsive to the information receiving module receiving the control information. The discovery signal transmission procedure includes generating a discovery signal allowing the mobile device to be discovered. The signal transmission module broadcasts the discovery signal.

摘要: A method for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmit diversity scheme is described. A UCI is coded with a Forward Error Correction code to obtain a coded UCI. The coded UCI is mapped to quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) symbols to obtain a mapped coded UCI. A phase shift pattern is selected. A phase shift from the phase shift pattern is applied to the mapped coded UCI based on an acknowledge/negative-acknowledge (ACK/NACK) to obtain a phase shifted mapped coded UCI. The mapped coded UCI is sent using a PUCCH resource on a first antenna. The phase shifted mapped coded UCI is sent using a PUCCH resource on a second antenna.

摘要: A method for using a numerical method to design a sequence for code modulating data is described. An input multiple input multiple output signal is determined. A nearest tight frame to one or more given structured vectors is obtained. One or more structured vectors is obtained from the nearest tight frame. The one or more structured vectors is projected onto the space of circulant matrices. One or more classes of matrices that indicates the design of the sequence is outputted. Data is code modulated using the designed sequence.
