    摘要: A method and apparatus for use in pulverization and/or segregation which is suitable for obtaining the desired quality of the pulverized materials. Such pulverization is performed by restricting the discharge rate of the mixture through the discharge opening and thereby controlling the quantity and time the mixture remains within the pulverizer. The pulverizer is provided with a weir at the discharge end of the drum or cylinder for such restricting purpose. Also, beaters disposed within the pulverizer are provided with safety means enabling the beaters to pivot when a relatively stiff constituent is encountered in the mixture.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method for processing municipal waste with increased processing capacity are provided. The apparatus includes at least a cylindrical screen having ridge projections on the inner surface thereof and a group of beaters mounted on a central shaft extending axially through the cylindrical screen. In carrying out the method, the municipal waste charged into the cylinder receives powerful beating and shearing due to the interaction caused by the relative rotation between the tips of the beaters and the ridge projections thereby remarkably increasing the processing capacity.

    摘要: High-purity hydrogen is recovered from a pyrolysis gas, composed mainly of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, produced by pyrolysis of an organic material such as biomass. A method for producing such high-purity hydrogen includes supplying a reducing gas produced by pyrolysis of an organic material to an anode side of a high-temperature steam electrolyzer having a diaphragm comprising solid oxide electrolyte; and supplying steam to a cathode side of the high-temperature steam electrolyzer to produce hydrogen and oxygen by electrolytic action. The oxygen produced in the cathode side of the high-temperature electrolyzer passes through the diaphragm and reacts with the reducing gas to create concentration gradient of oxygen ion, thus lowering electrolysis voltage.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a film-formation method of a diamond electrode used in an electrolytic processing apparatus and other devices for treating water and waste liquid. This method utilizes CVD such as hot filament CVD including supplying a high-concentration carbon source to form a low-quality thick first diamond film (1) on a substrate at a high rate, and then supplying a low-concentration carbon source to form a high-quality thin second diamond film (2) on the first film at a low rate. This structure can prevent oxidation corrosion due to OH radical and can prevent entry of an electrolytic solution into the film, thereby enhancing durability of the diamond film. The thick first diamond film is formed at a high rate, and the second diamond film is made thin at a low rate. Therefore, a total film-formation time can be short, and a low-cost diamond electrode can be made.

Waste is sorted into three or more groups enabling post treatment or reutilization of the sorted waste with less possibility of environmental contamination. The apparatus comprises mainly a drum having a plurality of screen means and a plurality of rotatable reducing means, each of the reducing means facing a corresponding screen means, respectively and being driven at a properly selected speed depending on the constituents of the waste and the mesh size of the opposing screen.

    摘要: A composting method uses an "H"-shaped apparatus comprising four rotatable paddles disposed at each terminal end of the "H"-shaped arrangement, the apparatus as a whole being reversibly movable in the direction of the horizontal bar of the "H" shape. A plurality of composting sections are arranged in a row along and at opposite sides of the horizontal bar. The composting operation is performed for the plurality of sections according to a predetermined schedule so that, when the apparatus is under operation, four sections are simultaneously under operation, one of the four sections may be receiving material and three sections are simultaneously under agitation by the paddles and at the other section or sections the material may be taken away.
