摘要: The current document is directed to an improved, remotely controlled, internally powered electronic padlock with enhanced security features that, when mechanically compromised, automatically generate alarms. The improved padlock can be opened via a key card placed in proximity to the improved padlock and can additionally be opened in response to receiving a command from a remote controller via network communications. A remote controller can configure the improved padlock, update the configuration of the improved padlock, unlock the improved padlock, and query the state of the improved padlock. A rotating switch, in combination with a translating latch plate and control logic implemented by stored microprocessor instructions and a microprocessor, detects various types of mechanical compromise and initiates generation of an audible alarm.

摘要: Improved systems and techniques are disclosed for controlling the security states of anti theft security systems such as product display assemblies using security fobs. The tasks relating to fob authentication are offloaded to a computer system, and these authentications can be based on identifiers for the different security fobs. The computer system can maintain a list of identifiers for authorized security fobs that is easily updated when new security fobs are added to or existing security fobs are de-authorized from the system.

The methods and systems can be implemented in retail security products, such merchandising display assembly for displaying devices such as smart phones, tablets, digital cameras, and wearables. In one aspect, a merchandising display assembly may include a wireless power transfer capability and a wireless data transfer capability. An electronic device may interface directly with the base position assembly or via an intermediary assembly. The interface may be accomplished without an electrical cable to transmit power and data from the base position assembly to the electronic device.

摘要: Systems and methods are directed to securing products to product display assemblies. In one aspect, a product display assembly includes an adjustable bracket for securing a product. The adjustable bracket for securing a product comprises a first bracket arm, a second bracket arm, and a base comprising a top plate, a bottom plate, a gear located between the top plate and the bottom plate, and a lock that is controllable between a locked state and an unlocked state. The first and second bracket arms extend laterally outward from opposite sides of the base. The gear is located between the top plate bottom surface and the bottom plate top surface. The lock compresses the top plate and the bottom plate together to restrict extension of the first and second bracket arms relative to the base.

摘要: Techniques for using wireless electronic keys with devices are disclosed. For example, a computer system can program an access code into a programmable wireless electronic key. An action or function of the device can then be made contingent on there being a match between the access code from the key and an access code known by the device. Further still, other operational control parameters (such as time limits) can be programmed into the key to restrict the ability of the key to control an action or function of the device. Also, audit data such as device access history can be wirelessly transferred from a device to an electronic key, whereupon the key can later transfer this audit data to a computer for analysis.
