    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for testing a fiber optic network including a fiber distribution hub. The method includes providing a test splitter within the fiber distribution hub to provide optical connectivity between an F1 fiber and at least a portion of an F2 fiber network. The method also includes testing sending a test signal from the F1 fiber through the test splitter to the F2 fiber network, and replacing the test splitter after testing has been completed.

    摘要: Identification elements (e.g., tracking elements, tracing elements, locating elements, etc.) (22A, 100) are provided on various communication components (20, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, 40, 42, 48, 49, 60, 62, 64, 120) provided within a communication network such as a fiber optic network or a copper network. Fiber optic hubs 20 can be identified and/or managed. Data centers (110) with patch panels (120) can also be identified and/or managed. Example passive identification elements include bar codes (e.g., 2d barcodes) and radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. In certain embodiments, RFID tags and the bar codes can include network information included therein. In certain embodiments, bar codes can be used to direct technicians to network links at which additional information stored elsewhere is provided. In certain embodiments, identification elements can be provided on communication components through an application downloaded to a mobile device by scanning the bar code. Such application on the mobile device can then be used to manage the network connections, change the network connections, or check the status of the network connections. Multiple mobile devices can be used and synchronized together with a central application, website or network. One example bar code useful for reading information from a network device and linking to a management application is a QR code (100).

More particularly, the FDH is mountable in multiple configurations to a pole. The FDH includes provisions to be reconfigurable within the enclosure. More particularly, a hinged storage panel is reconfigurable between a horizontal hinging configuration and a vertical hinging configuration. A door is provided on the enclosure with features to stop and hold the door in one or more open positions. A ladder bracket is provided that is configurable as a ladder support or as an FDH mounting bracket.

    摘要: An optical fiber cable management panel is provided with slideable drawers and structure within the drawers for cable management and/or connection to other devices. Tray inserts drop into the drawers to provide the appropriate management and connection devices. A movable take-up mechanism manages the cable entering and exiting the drawers at side openings. Stackable pivoting storage trays on the tray insert include a detent arrangement for holding each tray in a pivoted access position. The tray inserts further include a front key, and a back tab mounting arrangement for mounting the tray inserts to the drawers, and side radius limiters including notches for extending over raised portions of the drawer. The take-up mechanism includes a U-shaped trough section and cable retention tabs. A control mechanism is provided for controlling movement of the take-up mechanism relative to the drawer.
