Abstract:
A method for producing picornaviral capsid protein complexes (e.g., picornavirus like particles) in E. coli using a small-ubiquitin-related fusion protein expression system and an E. coli strain used in practicing this method. Also disclosed is use of the picornaviral capsid protein complexes like thus prepared for eliciting immune responses.
Abstract:
A vehicle wheel rim includes a wheel rim body having a tubular wall formed by deep drawing and having two opposite ends, and an annular protrusion formed as one piece with and projecting radially and inwardly from the tubular wall between the two ends. The annular protrusion has a first bent part which is bent inwardly from the tubular wall, and a second bent part which is bent outwardly from the first bent part. The first and second bent parts are flattened to abut each other. The annular protrusion further has a plurality of angularly spaced-apart through holes that extend through the first and second bent parts.
Abstract:
A cis-TEVP fusion protein including a TEVP protease, a TEVP cleavage site and a target protein provide a platform for expression of the target protein. A trans-TEVP fusion protein including a TEVP cleavage site and a target protein, the amino-terminal portion of the target protein adjacent to the C-terminal portion of the TEVP cleavage site, the amino acidic residue in position P2 of the TEVP cleavage site being a Valine also produces the target protein by the same process. A cis-TEVP fusion protein system comprising the first fusion protein and a suitable host cell; a trans-TEVP fusion protein system comprising the second fusion protein and a suitable host cell; associated methods to produce target proteins, and kits of parts are also disclosed herein.

Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a seamless wheel rim includes the steps of deeply drawing a pre-cut circular aluminum alloy plate into a cup-shaped embryo body, punching out the bottom surface thereof to form a hollow cylinder, then putting it into an expanding-pressing female die with an expanding die cavity at both ends thereof respectively, and finally pressing and expanding both ends of the embryo body by two sets of expanding-pressing male dies to form a seamless aluminum wheel rim in sequence.
Abstract:
A method of making a vehicle wheel rim includes the steps of: deep drawing a metal plate to form a substantially cylindrical blank having two axially opposite first and second open end portions; roll-bending a ring portion of the cylindrical blank between the open end portions so that the ring portion is bent inwardly and substantially radially; placing into a mold the cylindrical blank that has been bent; forcing upper and lower press members respectively into the open end portions of the cylindrical blank; and forming the open end portions by pressing the open end portions against a cavity wall of the mold using lateral faces of the press members, and pressing two opposite sides of the bent ring portion to form a folded annular protrusion using end faces of the press members which are transverse to the lateral faces thereof, thereby providing a wheel rim body.
