Abstract:
A four-wheel-steering system includes a rear wheel steering mechanism for turning rear wheels in response to energization of an actuator. A locking device is responsive to de-energization of the actuator for locking gears and a rack shaft to prevent the rear wheels from being turned. The locking device includes a longer arm on which first and second gears are rotatably mounted, a shorter arm pivotally coupled to the longer arm, a stopper coupled to the shorter arm and engageable with the second gear, and a spring acting on the stopper for normally urging the stopper into engagement with the second gear, the actuator comprising an electric motor angularly movable with respect to the second gear.
Abstract:
A steering gear box mount includes a resilient member interposed between a motor vehicle body and a steering gear box for allowing movement of the steering gear box. The mount also has a structure for limiting allowed movement of the steering gear box. The structure includes a mechanism for selectively fixing the steering gear box to a motor vehicle body, or a mechanism for continuously adjusting the allowed movement of the steering gear box.
Abstract:
A battery system has: a first device that is operated by electric power, having a first connector arranged at a first location; a second device that is operated by electric power, having a second connector arranged at a second location; a rechargeable battery; and a connection section to be releasably connected to each of the first and second connectors, and includes a plurality of cartridge batteries with approximately the same outer shape and size.
Abstract:
A manufacturing method for an air conditioner including the steps of: (a) assembling a refrigeration cycle by connecting an outdoor unit, which has a compressor containing a refrigerant and an outdoor heat exchanger to a dummy indoor unit, and a part including a moisture adsorbent, using connection piping; (b) operating the refrigeration cycle by either an intermittent heating operation or switching between cooling and heating operations to adsorb moisture contained in the refrigeration cycle using a moisture adsorbent; (c) disconnecting the part including the moisture adsorbent after adsorbing moisture from the refrigeration cycle, and (d) measuring the water content contained in the moisture adsorbent, to control the water contained in the outdoor unit.
Abstract:
A wiper system for wiping a windshield of an automotive vehicle. The wiper system is comprised of a wiper arm to which a wiper blade is movably fixed. The wiper arm is driven by a wiper motor through a link mechanism so as to move the wiper blade in such a manner that the moving speed of the wiper blade is accelerated at an initial period and decelerated at the remaining period in a stroke of wiper blade movement. The degree of deceleration is reduced in the course of the remaining period, thereby omitting troublesome or bothersome feeing of a driver seated in the vehicle.
Abstract:
A steering angle detector comprises a differential transformer. The steering angle detector includes a rod member extending substantially transversely of the vehicle body and axially movable in response to steering action of the vehicle body, a metallic core mounted on the rod member, and primary and secondary coils disposed around the core in slightly spaced relation thereto.
Abstract:
A steering gear box mount includes a resilient member interposed between a motor vehicle body and a steering gear box for allowing movement of the steering gear box. The mount also has a structure for limiting allowed movement of the steering gear box. The structure includes a mechanism for selectively rigidly fixing the steering gear box to a motor vehicle body, or a mechanism for continuously adjusting the allowed movement of the steering gear box.
Abstract:
A battery charging system includes: an electric vehicle; a network termination unit connectable to the electric vehicle through a power line cable for supplying electric power to the electric vehicle; and a first server that transmits a control signal indicative of permission or forbiddance of power supply from the network termination unit to the electric vehicle to the electric vehicle through the network termination unit. The electric vehicle transmits identification information for identifying the electric vehicle and the user thereof to the first server through the network termination unit. The network termination unit transmits position information concerning the position of the network termination unit to the first server. The first server determines permission or forbiddance of the power supply based on the identification information and the position information.
Abstract:
A power control system comprises a power accumulating system including a storage cell charged with electric power supplied from a power generating system and supplying a vehicle with electric power, and a control device controlling a cumulative power amount that is an amount of electric power accumulated in the storage cell. The power control system accepts drive schedule data representing whether or not the vehicle is to be used during a predetermined period. The power control system charges the storage cell till the cumulative power stored in the storage cell reaches a first threshold when the drive schedule data represents the vehicle is to be used during the period, or otherwise, it charges the storage cell till the cumulative power stored in the storage cell reaches a second threshold smaller than the first threshold when the drive schedule data represents the vehicle is not to be used during the period.
Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting refrigerant leak in a refrigerating apparatus using refrigerant and a heat pump type refrigerating apparatus at low cost is presented. A refrigerant leak is judged from the differential temperature and the running time, by comprising a refrigeration system including a compressor, an evaporator, an expansion device, and a condenser, being sequentially coupled annularly by a conduit, a first temperature detector for detecting the air temperature of suction port of the evaporator, a second temperature detector for detecting the refrigerant temperature at the middle part of the evaporator, a differential temperature detector for calculating the differential temperature of the detectors, and a running time detector for storing the cumulative running time of the compressor.
