The anti-corrosion chemical film is a zirconium-based chemical film that is harmless to human body and environment, and is transformable following the squeeze of the metal fitting. The rubber part having a metal fitting is produced by the steps of: degreasing an outer peripheral surface of the metal fitting, subjecting the surface to shot blasting treatment, degreasing the treated surface, and water washing the treated surface; forming a zirconium-based chemical film on the treated surface; water washing and drying an outer peripheral surface of the zirconium-based chemical film; forming an adhesive layer on the outer peripheral surface of the zirconium-based chemical film; and integrating the rubber part on the outer peripheral surface of the adhesive layer.

A rubber member is provided which includes an aluminum-based inner metal tube (2) (aluminum-based metal component), a film (A) chemically formed on an outer peripheral surface of the inner metal tube (2), an adhesive layer (C) provided on an outer surface of the film (A), and a vibration damping rubber (1) provided on an outer surface of the adhesive layer (C). The film (A) contains manganese oxide and zirconium oxide. In the film (A), manganese from the manganese oxide is present in a content of 10 to 30 mg/m2 on a manganese atom weight basis, and zirconium from the zirconium oxide is present in a content of 5 to 40 mg/m2 on a zirconium atom weight basis. The film (A) is free from deterioration in adhesion to the aluminum-base metal component which may otherwise occur due to heat applied for vulcanization of a rubber material, and is excellent in followability to deformation of the aluminum-based metal component. Further, it is easy to visually check the presence of the film (A) on the surface of the aluminum-based metal component.

A vibration damping rubber member comprising a metallic structure and a rubber material, which are interposed by an undercoating adhesive layer formed on the metallic structure and a finish coating adhesive layer formed on the undercoating adhesive layer and are integrally formed via the adhesive layers, wherein the undercoating adhesive layer is formed by resorcinol adhesive (component (A)), the finish coating adhesive layer is formed by adhesive consisting mainly of chlorinated polyolefin (component (B)), and the rubber material is bonded onto the finish coating adhesive layer by vulcanization. A method of producing the vibration damping rubber member is also disclosed.

Therefore, the vibration-isolating rubber composition exhibits good heat resistance, durability, and stiffness and a reduced dynamic multiplication.
