摘要: A mechanical device includes a long, narrow element made of a rigid, elastic material. A rigid frame is configured to anchor at least one end of the element, which is attached to the frame, and to define a gap running longitudinally along the element between the beam and the frame, so that the element is free to move within the gap. A solid filler material, different from the rigid, elastic material, fills at least a part of the gap between the element and the frame so as to permit a first mode of movement of the element within the gap while inhibiting a different, second mode of movement.

摘要: A rubber-metal bushing includes a seamless inner metal DOM tube surrounded by an elastomer cylinder. A flanged ferrule is press fit into one or both ends of the tube so that the flange engages an end portion of the cylinder. The bushing is cost reduced by replacing the DOM tube with a seamed tube formed from flat stock. An adhesive at the tube-ferrule interface maintains the two elements together.

Furthermore, use of the vibration damping. connector, in an optical system is disclosed.

摘要: A multilayer damping material for damping a vibrating surface comprising: at least one constraining layer; at least one dissipating layer; and at least one kinetic spacer layer comprising multiple spacer elements. The kinetic spacer layer is arranged between the constraining layer and the vibrating surface, when used for damping the vibrating surface. Each spacer element has opposite ends. At least one end of each of the multiple spacer elements is embedded in, bonded to, in contact with, or in close proximity to the dissipating layer, such that energy is dissipated within the multilayer damping material, through movement of the at least one end of each of the multiple spacer elements.

The helically wound composite band has a helical angle in relation to a line perpendicular to a center of axis of the dome connector. The helical angle is selected to at least in part achieve a desired stiffness in the dome connector.

The vessel may be configured to conform to requirements of an environment of the vibrating body and to retain and/or store the loose particles. The seal may include a molded material, a plate, and/or a flange. In an embodiment, the plate may be at least partially encompassed within the seal, and the seal, plate, and/or flange may be configured to engage the vessel and/or to retain the loose particles within the vessel.
