Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of display control processing and provides a display method and a display device. The display method includes: obtaining an object to be displayed; parsing the object to obtain corresponding information of the object; obtaining a media resource corresponding to the corresponding information based on the corresponding information; and displaying the object and presenting the media resource corresponding to the corresponding information. With the present invention, the display effect of the object can be enriched and the user's reading experience can be enhanced.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for the treatment of a resin to remove gas from the resin are provided. The apparatus can be operated continuously so that multiple amounts of resin can be consecutively degassed until the overall desired amount of resin has been provided. Thus, batch treatment at one time of the entire desired amount of resin for degassing can be avoided. The gases removed from the resin can be readily captured such that e.g., further treatment can occur.
Abstract:
A novel technique for unsupervised feature selection is disclosed. The disclosed methods include automatically selecting a subset of a feature of an image. Additionally, the selection of the subset of features may be incorporated with a congealing algorithm, such as a least-square-based congealing algorithm. By selecting a subset of the feature representation of an image, redundant and/or irrelevant features may be reduced or removed, and the efficiency and accuracy of least-square-based congealing may be improved.
Abstract:
There is provided a discriminative framework for image alignment. Image alignment is generally the process of moving and deforming a template to minimize the distance between the template and an image. There are essentially three elements to image alignment, namely template representation, distance metric, and optimization method. For template representation, given a face dataset with ground truth landmarks, a boosting-based classifier is trained that is able to learn the decision boundary between two classes—the warped images from ground truth landmarks (e.g., positive class) and those from perturbed landmarks (e.g., negative class). A set of trained weak classifiers based on Haar-like rectangular features determines a boosted appearance model. A distance metric is a score from the strong classifier, and image alignment is the process of optimizing (e.g., maximizing) the classification score. On the generic face alignment problem, the proposed framework greatly improves the robustness, accuracy, and efficiency of alignment.
Abstract:
A method for automatically identifying defects in turbine engine blades is provided. The method comprises acquiring one or more radiographic images corresponding to one or more turbine engine blades and identifying one or more regions of interest from the one or more radiographic images. The method then comprises extracting one or more geometric features based on the one or more regions of interest and analyzing the one or more geometric features to identify one or more defects in the turbine engine blades.
Abstract:
This invention is a process and device for high speed electrolytic in-process dressing (HELID). The device of the present invention may be provided as an add on to an existing grinding machine or may be integrated into a grinding machine as a subsystem. Grinding machines which are subject to the present invention include, but are not limited to, surface, cylindrical, centerless and double-disk grinding machines.

Abstract:
The Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8661 is tolerant to acid and lead ions in vitro which can tolerate lead ions solution with the initial concentration of 150 mg/L, and has a strong capability of binding lead ions, which can reduce the lead level in mice blood, liver, kidney and stomach, significantly improve antioxidant indicators and alleviate pathological symptoms of lead exposed mice.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for emotive healthcare software usability. A method to improve software usability is described, the method comprising presenting a software application to a user. The method also including logging activities of the user with respect to the software application, wherein the logging includes recording the user using the software application, and wherein the activities include user action with respect to the software application and mouse location on a user interface displaying the software application. The method also including interpreting user emotion from the recording, and tracking an emotive index based on a combination of user emotion and user action with respect to the software application and mouse location. The method also including providing feedback based on the emotive index.
Abstract:
In general, in a first aspect, the invention features a method that includes forming a first layer comprising a first material over a surface of a second layer, wherein forming the first layer includes sequentially forming a plurality of monolayers of the second material over the surface of the second layer, the second layer comprises a plurality of rows of a second material extending along a first direction and spaced from one another in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and the first layer conforms to the surface of the second layer. The method further includes removing portions of the first layer to produce a plurality of rows of the first material extending along the first direction and spaced from one another in the second direction and removing portions of a third layer comprising a third material, where the portions correspond to intervals between the second plurality of rows so that removing the portions forms a plurality of rows of the third material extending along the first direction and spaced apart from one another. The first and second materials are different.
