Abstract:
Disclosed is a diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1, a recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae containing the diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1, and application thereof in production of triacylglycerol. The diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 of the invention has a function of catalyzing synthesis of triacylglycerol. After the recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae containing the diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 of the invention is subjected to induction culture for 48 h, the content of total fatty acid and triacylglycerol in the recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae containing the diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 can be respectively increased by 1.94 folds and 12.09 folds as compared with those of Saccharomyces cerevisiae without the recombinant diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1. The instant invention provides a method for improving the ability of microorganisms to produce polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) by means of genetic engineering.
Abstract:
An objective of an oblique viewing, rigid endoscope, including a prism arrangement consisting of distal and proximal prisms contacting with planar contact surfaces that are oblique to an axis of the objective, the distal prism includes a distal front face toward the viewing direction of the objective, from which the rays entering there enter through the distal prism and through a passage area of the contact surfaces into the proximal prism and after double reflection in the proximal prism on a first mirror on a diagonal surface and a second mirror on the contact surface exit in the direction of the axis of the objective through a surface perpendicular to the direction of the axis of the objective, wherein the second mirror is arranged outside the penetration area, and an absorption layer is arranged in the plane of the second mirror between this and the penetration area.
Abstract:
Disclosed is linoleic acid isomerases and their application in production of conjugated linoleic acid, which belongs to the technical fields of protein engineering and microbial engineering. The linoleic acid isomerase derived from Bifidobacterium is used to produce the conjugated linoleic acid. The recombinant E. coli containing the linoleic acid isomerase of the invention is added into a reaction system containing linoleic acid and react for 3 h to produce conjugated linoleic acids. The conversion rate of the conjugated linoleic acid of the invented method ranges from 12.1% to 42.1%, and the percentage of cis9, trans11-CLA in the conjugated linoleic acid can reach 84.3% to 89.1%. The invention provides a method for using microorganisms to produce conjugated linoleic acids with high safety and yield where cis9, trans11-CLA isomer is the major form in the conjugated linoleic acid products.

Abstract:
The Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8661 is tolerant to acid and lead ions in vitro which can tolerate lead ions solution with the initial concentration of 150 mg/L, and has a strong capability of binding lead ions, which can reduce the lead level in mice blood, liver, kidney and stomach, significantly improve antioxidant indicators and alleviate pathological symptoms of lead exposed mice.
Abstract:
The present invention provides novel fatty acid desaturases genes used for synthesis of polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially delta-9 desaturases (FADS9-I). The present invention also provides nucleic acid sequence coding the above-described desaturases, expression vector of the above-described desaturases and recombinant microorganism expressing above-described desaturases.

Abstract:
A food thickener is provided in the form of agglomerated instant starch, which contains a combination of one or more pregelatinized starches and a specific water-soluble food ingredient possessing specific surface active functionality. The pregelatinized starch component can be either modified or native, and the water-soluble coating agent comprises a member selected from the group consisting of gum arabic, 1-octenyl succinic anhydride treated gum arabic, 1-octenyl succinic anhydride treated starches, 1-octenyl succinic anhydride treated maltodextrins, 1-octenyl succinic anhydride treated dextrins, and mixtures of any two or more of these. This novel thickener is comprised of more than about 50% pregelatinized starch and at least about 0.01% of a water-soluble food ingredient possessing surface active functionality. The thickener is useful in foods to provide spoon-stir dispersibility without lumping and can exhibit high and virtually instant viscosity development with little or no after thickening and are stable to long periods of storage. The thickener provides a smooth appearance and texture with high sheen.
