Abstract: Voltage sensor (1) comprising a voltage divider (40) for sensing an AC voltage of a HV/MV power conductor (10). For adjusting the common overall impedance of the low-voltage portion of the voltage divider towards a desired impedance, the low-voltage portion (60) comprises one or more low-voltage impedance elements (110), a plurality of adjustment impedance elements (80) and a plurality of switches. In its connect state, each switch electrically connects an adjustment impedance element in parallel to at least one of the one or more low-voltage impedance elements (110). The overall impedance of the high-voltage portion (50) and the overall impedance of the low-voltage portion (60) of the voltage divider (40) are adapted such that, by bringing one or more of the switches (90) into their connect state, the voltage divider (40) has, for an AC voltage of between 5 and 25 kV phase-to-ground and a frequency of between 40 and 70 Hertz, a dividing ratio of 3077, of 6154, of 6769 or of 10 000.

Abstract: A dental imaging and illumination device. The device has an optical interface for emitting light from the device and for receiving light into the device. The device has a light source, a camera, a beam splitter and a color reference. The color reference and the light source are optically coupled via an optical path so that the light source can illuminate the color reference. This optical path bypasses the beam splitter. The device facilitates color measuring particularly in the field of dentistry.

Abstract: Metal bond abrasive articles and methods of making metal bond abrasive articles via a focused beam are disclosed. In an aspect, a metal bond abrasive article includes a metallic binder material having abrasive particles retained therein, where the abrasive particles have at least one coating disposed thereon. The coating includes a metal, a metal oxide, a metal carbide, a metal nitride, a metalloid, or combinations thereof, and the at least one coating has an average thickness of 0.5 micrometers or greater. The metal bond abrasive article includes a number of layers directly bonded to each other. Metal bond abrasive articles prepared by the method can include abrasive articles having arcuate or tortuous cooling channels, abrasive segments, abrasive wheels, and rotary dental tools. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying a metal bond abrasive article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process, the metal bond abrasive article based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of a metal bond abrasive article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of the metal bond abrasive article.

Abstract: An article comprises an optical fiber having a first end with a first end surface having a deposited coating only on a portion thereon. The first end can have a frustoconic or tronconic shape. The optical fiber can be utilized as a stub fiber in an optical device, such as an optical connector, receptacle or adapter. The deposited coating can be a wavelength selective multilayer thin film coating. The deposited coating can reflect a selected wavelength of light back to a central office to provide monitoring in a communication network, such as a PON.

Abstract: Fiber network for interrogating fiber-optic sensors in a first Passive Optical Network (PON) and in a second PON, the fiber network comprising a test signal transceiver for emitting query signals and for receiving response signals, a first PON and a second PON. Each PON comprises a light source for generating telecommunication signals and a fiber-optic sensor. Each PON can transmit the telecommunication signals to a plurality of subscribers, and is optically connected to the test signal transceiver such that the query signals can be fed into the respective PON and propagate in the PON to the fiber-optic sensor, and such that the test signal transceiver can receive response signals from the fiber-optic sensor through the PON.
