    Abstract: A flexible battery is provided. A flexible battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly; an exterior material for sealing the electrode assembly together with an electrolyte; and a plurality of patterns having ridge portions and groove portions repeatedly formed along the lengthwise direction, wherein the maximum bending curvature at which the battery can be bent through the plurality of patterns is adjusted through the gap (L) between two neighboring patterns and the depth (d) of the patterns.

    Abstract: An electrolyte for a secondary battery is provided. The electrolyte for a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a non-aqueous organic solvent including propyl propionate (PP) and ethyl propionate (EP); a lithium salt; and an additive. The lithium salt is contained in a concentration of 0.6-1.6 M. Accordingly, when the electrolyte is applied to a battery and a flexible battery, excellent discharge performance can be exhibited in extremely low temperature and high temperature. In addition, the flexible battery of the present invention can prevent or minimize the deterioration of physical properties required as a battery even if repeated bending occurs. Such an electrolyte for a secondary battery of the present invention can be applied to various fields which require high discharge capacity at extremely low temperature and high temperature.

    Abstract: A flexible battery and method for manufacturing a flexible battery in which an electrode assembly is encapsulated by an exterior material with an electrolyte. The flexible battery may be provided with an electrode assembly manufactured by forming a positive electrode mixture by coating and drying a composition for forming a positive electrode active material on part or all of at least one surface of a positive electrode current collector; vacuum drying the positive electrode current collector to manufacture a positive electrode; forming a negative electrode mixture by coating and drying a composition for forming a negative electrode active material on part or all of at least one surface of a negative electrode current collector; vacuum drying the negative electrode current collector to manufacture a negative electrode; and laminating by interposing a separator between the positive electrode and the negative electrode.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method for a flexible battery including injecting an electrolyte into an opening of an exterior material accommodating an electrode assembly contained therein and impregnating the electrode assembly with the electrolyte through a pressure difference inside the exterior material; and a sealing step of sealing the opening. Because the electrode assembly provided in the battery can be completely impregnated with an electrolyte, no spot occurs on the surface of a negative electrode filled with the electrolyte. In addition, the flexible battery can prevent or minimize deterioration of physical characteristics that the battery is required to exhibit, even if repeated bending occurs.

    Abstract: A flexible battery including an electrode assembly having a positive electrode which has a positive electrode current collector having a positive electrode active material coated on a part or all of at least one surface, a negative electrode which has a foil-type negative electrode current collector having a negative electrode active material coated on a part or all of at least one surface, and a separator membrane disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; an electrolyte solution; and an exterior material for sealing the electrode assembly with the electrolyte solution. Cracks are prevented from forming even when bending occurs by means of a predetermined pattern, and degradation of physical properties required for a battery can be prevented or minimized even when bending repeatedly occurs. The flexible battery can be applied to a wearable device as well as various electronic devices requiring flexibility such as a rollable display.
