摘要: A plurality of base station devices are linked together and synchronized to facilitate communication between the respective base station devices and respective downlink subscriber stations. According to one embodiment of the invention, one of the base station devices is designated as a master device, and the other base station devices are designated as slave devices. The respective base station devices are connected to each other by means of a synchronization bus. The master base station device then generates and broadcasts a future time stamp value, which is received by the respective slave base station devices. When the time stamp counter in the master base station device reaches the transmitted value, a control signal is broadcast over the synchronization bus. The slave base station devices then retrieve the time stamp value and reset their respective local time stamp counters to the received value. In this manner, the base station devices are synchronized.

摘要: Upstream requests such a bandwidth requests, are processed by CMTS out of order on a priority basis to reduce latency in responding to the request. Specifically, a cable modem termination system (CMTS) is connected to a plurality of cable modems by a cable plant. The CMTS has a burst receiver adapted to be connected to the cable plant to process upstream data packet units and bandwidth requests transmitted by the cable modems. Each packet includes a header that uniquely distinguishes the bandwidth requests from other data types. Packet data units are arranged in a first memory queue. Bandwidth requests are arranged in a second memory queue. The headers of the packets processed by the burst receiver are inspected as they arrive at the CMTS to determine if the packets are packet data units or bandwidth requests. Packet data units are routed to the first memory queue. Bandwidth requests are routed to the second memory queue. Bandwidth allocation MAP messages are generated from the bandwidth requests stored in the second queue and transmitted downstream to the cable modems. The packet data units stored in the first queue are coupled to a data output for further distribution.

摘要: A food container is divided into two compartments by a vertically extending partition wall. A user selects which of the two compartments will hold a food product and which compartment will receive inedible parts of the food product after edible part of the food product is consumed. A snap-on lid closes the container to retain the food product and discarded inedible parts inside the container. Flap openings in the lid allow access to the compartments.

摘要: In various example embodiments, a system and method for data mesh-based environmental augmentation are presented. Attribute data associated with a user may be received from a plurality of attribute sources. A portion of the attribute data may include real-time data. A portion of the real-time data indicative of an identity of the user may be identified. The identity of the user may be authenticated with respect to the real-time data by analyzing the identified portion of the real-time data. Based on the authentication of the identity of the user, a user activity being performed by the user may be identified based on the real-time data, and the user activity may be augmented according to a user setting.

摘要: An interface system includes a secure digital (SD) driver module to communicate with an SD card over a bus, a secure digital input/output (SDIO) driver module to communicate with an SDIO card over the bus, and an input/output port. A method of operating a host in the interface system includes coupling the bus to the SD card while a first mode is enabled, coupling the bus to the SDIO card while a second mode is enabled, and enabling the first mode in response to a request for access to the SD card. The method includes, while the first mode is enabled, (i) listening for a notification signal arriving from the SDIO card via the input/output port, indicating that an interrupt is pending at the SDIO card, and (ii) in response to the notification signal, enabling the second mode to allow the SDIO card to transmit the interrupt to the host.

摘要: A riser for use in subsea operations that is parked subsea deployed as needed onto wellheads disposed proximate where the riser is parked. A base anchored into the seafloor provides a pedestal for parking the riser. The riser emits a beacon signal so it can be located when needed. When parked, the riser can be kept in a vertical orientation by a buoyancy module mounted on an upper portion of the riser. A workboat, or other vessel, attaches to the parked riser and positions it onto a designated wellhead. An extension connects the riser to platform or other vessel above the sea surface.

摘要: An underwater plow can include a depressor cam and a chute cam that are pivotably attached to a blade portion. The blade portion can be formed with a trough and the depressor cam can be biased in the trough. The chute cam can be formed with a groove having a minimum thickness at its attached end and an increasing taper to a maximum thickness at its distal end. A sensor passing through the plow contacts the edge of the depressor cam, causing depressor cam rotation away from the trough. The sensor passes the depressor cam and pushes against the chute cam, which causes the chute cam to contra-rotate relative to the depressor cam until the sensor passes through the chute arm at is maximum thickness. Once the sensor passes through, the cams contra-rotate back to their respective biased positions.
