One endplate includes an open flow passage that allows a working fluid to flow into or out of the media during operation. The other endplate includes a connection structure.     摘要: A sump and filter assembly is provided that includes a sump component and a filter component operatively connected with the sump component. The sump component has an inlet receivable of fluid and a capacity for fluid. The filter component is configured to filter fluid from the sump component and has an outlet enabling release of fluid from the assembly. The sump and filter components define a fluid pathway between the inlet and outlet. The fluid pathway enables fluid entering the inlet to flow from the sump component and through the filter component to the outlet. The sump and filter combination provides an assembly that would contain most of the oil capacity function together with the filtration function in one package. As a result, a lubrication filtration system may be quickly serviced in a cleaner environment.

    摘要: A centrifuge for separating out particulate matter from a fluid includes a rotor shell that is rotatably coupled to a shaft through a first bushing and a second bushing. The shaft includes a first shaft section that is detachably coupled to a second shaft section in order to make maintenance and assembly of the centrifuge easier by reducing the shaft clearance needed during disassembly and assembly of the centrifuge. The first shaft section includes a first bushing race around which the first bushing is rotatably received. The second shaft section includes an integrally formed bushing collar for supporting the second bushing and a second bushing race around which the second bushing is rotatably received. With such a construction, the size of the bushings in the centrifuge can be minimized, which in turn increases the operational speed of the centrifuge, thereby enhancing the particulate removal efficiency in the centrifuge.

    摘要: A parallel flow filter-in-filter design for a filter system is provided. The filter-in-filter design provides two distinctly parallel or independent flow paths within a filter assembly in a single housing or shell. The filter assembly includes a first outer filter element radially spaced apart from a second inner filter element. A centertube and a funnel shaped passageway housed within the centertube are provided in a space between the first outer filter element and the second inner filter element. The centertube and funnel shaped passageway work in tandem to provide two distinct parallel or independent flow paths within the filter assembly. The funnel shaped passageway is provided generally below the second inner filter element within the centertube.
