Abstract: A remote unit of a distributed antenna system (DAS) includes: interface device configured to interface with an upstream component of the DAS; and receiver communicatively coupled to an antenna and configured to receive signals from at least one subscriber unit within a coverage area of the DAS. The receiver temporarily reconfigured to receive interference signals from an interfering device outside of the coverage area of the DAS. The interference signals cause a subscriber unit to establish a connection with the interfering device rather than the remote unit of the DAS. The remote unit configured to derive information about the interfering device from the interference signals. The remote unit configured to adjust at least one attribute to cause the subscriber unit to establish connection with the remote unit rather than the interfering device.

Abstract: A channel identification system and method are provided to automatically identify ports of a base station (e.g., an eNodeB) to route downlink signals to appropriate access points in a telecommunication system. Primary and secondary synchronization signals may be identified in the downlink signals transmitted by the base station. A broadcast channel may be decoded for a downlink signal including the primary and secondary synchronization signals. Signal information may be used to extract a first cell-specific reference signal and generate a second cell-specific reference signal corresponding to one or more ports of the base station. The first and second cell-specific reference signals may be correlated to verify the identity of the channel corresponding to the ports of the base station.

Abstract: A telecommunications system may include a measurement receiver to confirm the presence of a MIMO signal prior to decoding signals to avoid decoding spectrum that does not include MIMO signals. The measurement receiver may determine a fast Fourier transform (FFT) spectrum for asynchronous wideband digital signals received from two or more ports. The measurement receiver may determine an average FFT spectrum based on the determined FFT spectrum and identify a bandwidth of signals present in the average FFT spectrum. The measurement receiver may identify the MIMO signals present in the bandwidth of signals and decode only the identified MIMO signals.

Abstract: Certain features relate to optimizing the processing of downlink data in a telecommunications system by capturing a downlink data stream and transferring the downlink data to a memory device in parallel. A processing device can capture a first set of downlink data blocks from a base station and store the first set of downlink data blocks to a memory device. Once a sufficient number of downlink data blocks are written to the memory device, the first set of data blocks can be transferred to a digital signal processor. A second set of data blocks can be captured substantially simultaneous to the first set of data blocks being transferred to the digital signal processor. In additional aspects, the second set of data blocks can be processed by the digital signal processor substantially simultaneous to additional data blocks being captured and stored in the memory device.
