    Abstract: In a driver device, a controller substrate has a center part on which a rotation angle sensor is attached and an outer periphery portion which is fixed onto a heat sink. The heat sink has a cylinder part extending in an axial direction of the rotation shaft to contact the outer periphery portion of the controller substrate. The cylinder part of the heat sink is continuously formed along an entire periphery and has the same height at all portions. Such configuration provides an even deformation distribution of the cylinder part due to a temperature change, thereby reducing unevenness of heat stress distribution along a substrate plane and decreasing stress applied to the sensor, which facilitates a reduction of a detection error of the sensor.

    Abstract: A drive apparatus includes a power module, a connector and a heat sink. The connector is used for electric connection to an external side and has a flange, which is formed on its peripheral wall. The heat sink is formed to have a module holding part for holding the power module and a fitting hole for fitting with the flange and has a connector holding part for holding a connector. The flange is formed along a first surface, which faces the connector holding part of the peripheral wall, and side surfaces, which are formed on both sides of the first surface. Thus, water droplets are prevented from entering into a control unit through a clearance between the connector and the heat sink without adding other members such as a water preventing cover.

    Abstract: A power module, a control board and a heat sink are provided on one axial side of a shaft of an electric motor, which consists of a motor case, a stator, a rotor, the shaft and the like. The power module is electrically connected with extraction lines, which extend from a coil wound around the stator, and supplies a drive current to the coil. The control board for controlling switching of the power module is provided on a motor case side of the power module. The heat sink is provided on a side of the control board opposite to the motor case. Thus, when setting of an output of the electric motor is changed, a body size of the heat sink can be changed without changing a positional relationship between the control board and the electric motor and a positional relationship between the power module and the electric motor.

    Abstract: A driver device has a semiconductor module in which a motor terminal extends from a molded body and is connected to a motor wire. A heat sink of the driver device has a module mounting surface, which extends axially outward from an axial end of the motor section, on which the semiconductor module is fastened. The motor terminal includes a base region on a molded body side of a bend location and an extension region on a tip side of the bend location. The extension region has a connection portion on which an insertion hole receives the motor wire. A terminal angle between the extension region and a perpendicular line perpendicular to the motor wire is greater than zero degree. As such, the volume of the driver device is reduced.
