Abstract: A route setting device includes: a route candidate generation unit that generates multiple route candidates from a current position to a destination; an index calculation unit that calculates, for each of the multiple route candidates, a change index that indicates a probability that an automatic driving system performs a driving change request when a vehicle travels along each of the multiple route candidates by using the automatic driving system; a display unit that associates the multiple candidates with the change index calculated for each of the multiple route candidates, and display the multiple associated route candidates and the associated change index; an input unit that receives a selection among the multiple route candidates by an occupant of the vehicle; and a route setting unit that sets a route among the multiple route candidates based on the selection received by the input unit.

Abstract: In an in-vehicle display apparatus, an obstacle recognition circuit recognizes an obstacle around a subject vehicle, and an image output circuit causes a display portion to display an obstacle image indicating the obstacle recognized by the obstacle recognition circuit in a predetermined displayable range at the lower portion on a windshield. This permits the obstacle to be viewed at a position to which a line of sight of the driver to the obstacle image is extended upward.

Abstract: An in-vehicle display apparatus in a vehicle includes a region recognition circuit and an image output circuit. The region recognition circuit recognizes a target plane region in scenery ahead of the vehicle; the target plane region corresponds to a continuous region having (i) a flatness equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value and (ii) an area size equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value. The image output circuit displays a driving information picture as a virtual image using a liquid crystal panel such that a driver of the vehicle views the virtual image in the target plane region within a displayable region through a windshield of the vehicle.

Abstract: An automatic driving proposal device or an automatic driving proposal method is used for a vehicle that selects either a state of an automatic driving or a state of a manual driving by an occupant. The automatic driving proposal device or the automatic driving proposal method performs a driving change request to the occupant in the state of the automatic driving, determines whether the automatic driving is possible in the state of the manual driving, calculates a calculation value corresponding to a distance or a prediction time or calculates a change index, and proposes the automatic driving to the occupant on a necessary condition of determining that the automatic driving is possible and also determining that the calculation value is higher than a threshold value or determining that the change index is lower than a threshold value.

Abstract: A display control device controls display of a virtual image which is superimposed on foreground of a vehicle by projection of a display light image from an optical unit to a projection area. The display control device sets a projection position of the display light image which is projected in the projection area on the basis of a relative position of a superimposition object on which the virtual image is superimposed, obtains a measurement information from one vehicle height sensor measuring a displacement in a vertical direction occurring in the vehicle, obtains a gradient information indicating a gradient of a road on which the vehicle travels on the basis of three-dimensional map data, and corrects the projection position of the display light image on the basis of the measurement information and the gradient information.

Abstract: A vehicle display control device controls a virtual image display performed by a head-up display which superimposes a display image on outside scenery of the host vehicle. The host vehicle is equipped with an automatic control unit which executes an automatic control to the host vehicle. The vehicle display control device includes: a route information acquisition unit that acquires route information related to a scheduled route of the host vehicle, the automatic control unit setting the scheduled route for the host vehicle; and a route image formation unit that forms a route image indicative of the scheduled route based on the route information acquired by the route information acquisition unit. The head-up display projects the route image as the display image in a virtual image display region that is superimposed on a forward traveling road included in the outside scenery.

Abstract: An information providing apparatus includes a tactile information provider and a controller. The tactile information provider is arranged within a rim portion of a steering wheel of a vehicle and provides a tactile sense to a driver. The controller controls the tactile information provider to provide support information to the driver. The support information is defined as information that supports a driving of the vehicle. The tactile information provider includes a trench arranged in a circumferential direction of the rim portion, a ring-shaped ring portion, and a driving portion. The ring portion is rotatably arranged in the trench and has an exposed surface such that the exposed surface contacts with at least one hand of the driver. The driving portion is controlled by the controller to drive the ring potion rotate in the circumferential direction to provide the support information to the driver.
