Abstract: A control device controls a multi-phase rotating machine having two multi-phase winding sets of two systems and outputting a torque to a common output shaft. The control device includes: two electric power converters individually connected to two power supplies and supplying an AC electric power to the multi-phase winding sets; and a control unit. The power supplies includes a charge side power supply and a discharge side power supply. The control unit energizes a charge side system and a discharge side system with reciprocal currents, and executes a charge operation from the discharge side power supply to the charge side power supply via the multi-phase rotating machine.

Abstract: A first circuit energizes a steering assist actuator to electrically assist steering of a driver. A second circuit is provided in a same housing as the first circuit and energizes a positional actuator to move a steering position. A controller operates the first and second circuits to control operations of the steering assist actuator and the positional actuator. The controller changes a priority between the first circuit and the second circuit in a start period, in which the steering control device is started, a normal operation period, in which the steering control device is operated normally, and a stop period, in which the steering control device is stopped. The priority includes at least one of an order of operating the first circuit and the second circuit, output allocation between the first circuit and the second circuit, and output magnitude between the first circuit and the second circuit.

Abstract: A steering control device for use in a steer-by-wire system is provided. The steering control device controls a reaction force device and a turning device of a steer-by-wire system. The steering control device includes a steering wheel torque controller that calculates a basic reaction force torque command value being a basic value of a reaction force torque command value so that a detection value of the torque sensor follows a target value. The steering control device further includes an end controller that stops a control of the steering wheel torque controller when: an absolute value of angle of the reaction force device or the turning device is equal to or greater than a limit angle value; and a physical quantity corresponding to an output torque of the turning device and the detection value of the torque sensor are values corresponding to approach to the limit angle value.

Abstract: A microcomputer includes an abnormality monitor unit, a rotation angle calculation unit and a current supply control unit. The abnormality monitor unit monitors an abnormality of the rotation angle sensor. The rotation angle calculation unit calculates an electrical angle based on angle information acquired from the rotation angle sensor and an abnormality state of the rotation angle sensor. The current supply control unit controls current supply to the winding sets based on the electrical angle. When an abnormality is detected in one of the sensor units, the rotation angle calculation unit calculates the electrical angle based on a hold value which is the electrical angle before the detection of abnormality during a period from the detection of abnormality to a final determination of the abnormality. When the abnormality of the sensor unit is finalized, the electrical angle is calculated based on the angle information of the other sensor unit which is normal.

Abstract: A capacitor current estimating unit estimates a capacitor current based on phase currents. A capacitor temperature estimating unit estimates a capacitor temperature based on the capacitor current. A motor controller can accurately estimate not only a temperature of a switching element but also the capacitor temperature based on the phase currents. As a result, the capacitor does not need to have excessive heat characteristics. Further, a current limiting unit limits a current flowing from a battery to an inverter based on the capacitor temperature. Therefore, an amount of temperature change is not over-estimated due to overheating of the capacitor. As a result, excessive current limitation can be avoided and the performance of the motor can be demonstrated.

Abstract: A power converter for a three-phase electric rotary machine including first and second winding sets includes: first and second inverters corresponding to the first and second winding sets, respectively; and a control unit including a command calculation unit that calculates first and second voltage command values related to voltages to be applied to the first and second winding sets, and an excess correction unit that corrects first and second voltage command corresponding values corresponding to the first and second voltage command values. When one of the first and second voltage command corresponding values exceeds a limitation value which is set in accordance with a voltage capable of being outputted, the excess correction unit performs an excess correction process for correcting the other of the first and second voltage command corresponding values in accordance with an excess amount over the limitation value.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine control device for a rotary electric machine having winding sets with coils includes: an inverter for each winding set; a power source relay for each inverter; a terminal voltage detector detecting a terminal voltage of each coil; and a controller including an inverter controller, a relay controller and an abnormality determination unit. Each winding set and a corresponding inverter provides a system. When the rotary electric machine is driven using a normal system: the relay controller controls the power source relay to cut off power supply from a power source to the inverter in an abnormal system; the abnormality determination unit specifies a short-circuited location based on the terminal voltage in the abnormal system; and the inverter controller corrects a command value related to control of the inverter in the normal system according to a specified short-circuited location.

Abstract: A communication system includes a sensor apparatus transmitting a sensor signal including detection information of a detection target as a digital signal and a microcomputer receiving the sensor signal through a signal line and performing a control operation at a predetermined operation cycle based on the sensor signal that is received. Abstract: In an alert control apparatus mounted in a vehicle, when collision avoidance control is being performed to automatically activate brakes of the vehicle to avoid collision with a forward object, an alert determiner determines whether or not a predefined alert condition for determining that the collision with the forward object cannot be avoided is met, based on a distance to the forward object and a stopping distance. The stopping distance is a distance the vehicle travels until the vehicle stops moving and is calculated based on the traveling speed of the vehicle and a collision avoidance deceleration at which the traveling speed is decreased under the collision avoidance control. An alert controller, if the alert condition is met, activates at least one alerting device to alert surroundings of the vehicle, and if the alert condition is not met, inhibits operation of the at least one alerting device.
