Abstract:
In a rotation detecting apparatus, a sensor includes a sensor element outputting a measurement value representing rotation of a detection target, and a circuit module. The circuit module includes a rotational angle calculator calculating, based on the measurement value, rotational angle information indicative of a rotational angle of the detection target. The rotational angle calculator generates a rotational angle signal including the rotational angle information. The circuit module includes a rotation number calculator calculating, based on the measurement value, rotation number information representing the number of rotations of the detection target. The rotation number calculator generates a rotation number signal including the rotation number information. An output unit outputs, as an output signal, a series of the rotational angle signal and the rotation number signal. A controller obtains the output signal from the communicator, and calculates, based on the output signal, information about the rotation of the detection target.
Abstract:
A communication system includes a sensor apparatus transmitting a sensor signal including detection information of a detection target as a digital signal and a microcomputer receiving the sensor signal through a signal line and performing a control operation at a predetermined operation cycle based on the sensor signal that is received. The microcomputer transmits, to the sensor apparatus, a synchronization signal which is synchronized with the predetermined operation cycle of the microcomputer. The sensor apparatus transmits the sensor signal at a predetermined constant cycle except when the synchronization signal transmitted by the microcomputer is received. The sensor apparatus changes a transmission timing of the sensor signal corresponding to the synchronization signal when the synchronization signal transmitted by the microcomputer is received.
Abstract:
A rotation angle detector includes a voltage detector receiving a supply of voltage from a first power source and detecting a motor rotation regarding a motor, the motor rotation more specifically detected as (i) a rotation angle of the motor and (ii) a number of rotations of the motor. Also, a second power source is disposed separately from the first power source and supplying voltage to the voltage detector. Thus, even when the voltage of the in-vehicle battery lowers or the voltage supply therefrom is interrupted, the voltage supply to a voltage detector is continuous from the power storage device, thereby enabling a continuous detection of the rotation angle and the rotation number of the motor.
Abstract:
A drive device that includes a motor having a rotor disposed relative to a stator, a cover having a one-end-closed cylinder shape and positioned on one axial end side of the motor, and a substrate on the inside of the cover perpendicular to a motor shaft having electronic components implemented on the substrate. The drive device also includes a connector positioned on a motor side of the substrate with an opening that is connectable to an external terminal. The opening of the connector faces outward relative to the motor shaft. The drive device further includes a heat sink having a frame end part and a heat receiving part formed in one body. The drive device increases heat capacity of the heat sink without increasing its height.
Abstract:
A rotating electric machine driver apparatus and an electric power steering apparatus using the same includes a controller section that obtains a detected current value and generates a high-side instruction signal and a low-side instruction signal to switch an upper arm element and a lower arm element based on the detected current value. An abnormality detector determines a simul-OFF abnormality which is an abnormality of a pair made up of the high-side and low-side instruction signals being simultaneously switched off based on a condition that switching off of the high-side instruction signal for the upper arm element and the low-side instruction signal for the lower arm element pair continues for at least a simul-OFF abnormality determination time. In such manner, the simul-OFF abnormality of the instruction signals is detected.
Abstract:
A communication device includes: a plurality of sensors, each of which includes at least one sensor element that detects information relating to a single detection target and an output circuit that generates an output signal based on a detection signal of the sensor element and transmits the output signal; and a controller that acquires the output signal. One of the sensors transmits the output signal to the controller at an output timing that is shifted, by a predetermined period shorter than a length of one period of the output signal, from another output timing when another one of the sensors transmits the output signal.
Abstract:
A drive device includes a motor, having a stator on which a winding wire group is wound, a rotor disposed relative to the stator, and a shaft rotating in one body with the rotor are included, a controller disposed on one axial end of the motor and having a substrate on which electronic components for controlling a power supply to the winding wire group are implemented, a frame member facing the substrate and having a substrate supporter that supports the substrate in a contacting manner, a boss protruding from the frame member toward the substrate, and an engager fixedly disposed on the substrate and having elastically-deformable multiple claws that engagingly hold the boss in a binding manner. This arrangement reduces the volume of the drive device.
Abstract:
A torque sensor has a magnetic sensor, which is composed of a first magnetic detecting element, a second magnetic detecting element and a comparator. The first magnetic detecting element outputs an output signal of a provisional detection value, while the second magnetic detecting element outputs an output signal of a reference value. The comparator compares the provisional detection value and the reference value and outputs the provisional detection value as an authorized detection value, when a difference value between the provisional detection value and the reference value is smaller than a predetermined threshold value.
Abstract:
In a vehicular power supply system, a main battery supplies electric power to both main machine drive circuit, which drives a main motor for driving a vehicle, and a steering assist drive circuit, which drives a steering assist motor of a power steering apparatus. A main machine switching circuit, which is capable of shutting off power supply to the main machine drive circuit, and an auxiliary machine switching circuit, which is capable of shutting off power supply to the steering assist drive circuit are provided in parallel. As long as the auxiliary machine switching circuit is turned on, power supply to the steering assist drive circuit is continued even when the main machine switching circuit is turned off.
