    Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, non-transitory computer-readable mediums, and apparatuses are presented for detecting and positioning sound in a home automation system. Indications of sounds and timestamps may be received from various home automation devices. Using the received indications, a sound magnitude for the sound and whether the sound originated inside or outside of the structure can be determined. The sound magnitude may be compared to an inside sound threshold level if the sound was determined to originate inside the structure or compared to an outside sound threshold level if the sound was determined to originate outside the structure. Sound information corresponding to the sound may be logged if the sound was determined to originate inside and the sound magnitude exceeds the inside sound threshold level or the sound was determined to originate outside and the sound magnitude exceeds the outside sound threshold level.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a device in a home automation network based on detection of a weather event include receiving image data from a camera in operative communication with a host system, where the image data is representative of an outdoor weather event that is captured by the camera, and analyzing the image data to identify the outdoor weather event. Systems and methods may include determining a home automation rule based on the identified outdoor weather event, where the home automation rule includes an operational setting of a home automation device, and instructing the home automation device based on the determined home automation rule via a home automation network.

An exemplary method involves providing a plurality of selectable regions on a display, authenticating the user based at least in part on a user input that corresponds to a selectable region that includes a portion of authentication information, and providing the restricted content to the display after authenticating the user. Each selectable input region of the plurality of selectable regions includes a plurality of characters. In exemplary embodiments, the characters of one or more selectable input regions are randomized.
