Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method and an apparatus, and relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal, first indication information of an uplink resource used for sending uplink data or uplink control information. The first indication information of the uplink resource includes information used to indicate whether the uplink resource is a type 1 uplink resource or a type 2 uplink resource. The type 1 uplink resource includes at least one subcarrier in a frequency domain, where when a subcarrier quantity of subcarriers is greater than or equal to 2, the subcarriers are orthogonal to each other, and a subcarrier spacing is 3.75 kHz; or the type 1 uplink resource includes at least one sub-channel in a frequency domain, where a bandwidth of each sub-channel is approximately 3.75 kHz.

Abstract: A network device determines downlink bandwidth configuration information corresponding to a terminal device; the network device sends a first physical broadcast channel to the terminal device in a plurality of cell acquisition subframes based on the downlink bandwidth configuration information, where a time interval between every two adjacent cell acquisition subframes in the plurality of cell acquisition subframes is greater than or equal to 30 ms. When a bandwidth configuration value corresponding to the downlink bandwidth configuration information is greater than or equal to a first threshold, the plurality of cell acquisition subframes in which the first physical broadcast channel is sent include at least one first cell acquisition subframe. At least five symbols of the first physical broadcast channel are transmitted in the first cell acquisition subframe.

Abstract: When a terminal switches from a downlink subframe to an adjacent uplink subframe, generating a first guard period, where that the terminal does not process any signal in the first guard period is defined, that is, the terminal neither receives downlink data nor sends an uplink signal in the first guard period, and therefore uncertainty of a terminal behavior during a downlink-to-uplink switching process of the terminal is avoided, and successful sending of the uplink subframe can be ensured; and when the terminal switches from an uplink subframe to a downlink subframe, generating a second guard period, where the second guard period overlaps the uplink subframe or the downlink subframe, and that the terminal does not process any signal in the second guard period is defined, and therefore uncertainty of a terminal behavior during an uplink-to-downlink switching process of the terminal is avoided.
