摘要: Methods and apparatus for determining a level of performance of a first application in a computer system are disclosed. A selection of a second one of a plurality of applications is received. The second application is then executed, thereby producing data indicating one or more levels of performance of the first application. Documentation is then provided, where the documentation is associated with the second application and indicates at least one of a manner of interpreting data indicating one or more levels of performance of the first application and suggesting one or more of the plurality of applications that can provide additional information to assess one or more levels of performance of the application.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for sharing data provided by a first application to two or more additional applications (e.g., probes) are disclosed. It is ascertained whether the first application is executing. When it is ascertained that the first application is executing, data produced by the first application is provided to the two or more additional applications if data provided by the first application can be shared by the two or more additional applications. When it is ascertained that the first application is not executing or if data provided by the executing first application cannot be shared by the two or more additional applications, the first application is executed such that data provided by the first application can be provided to the two or more additional applications and the data produced by the first application is distributed to the two or more additional applications.

摘要: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system and method for appending server-side glossary definitions to transient Web content in a networked computing environment. A glossary database stores a glossary, which includes a plurality of structured records. Each structured record is keyed by a unique identifier derived from a key word and contains a definition associated with the key word. A parser receives Web content, which includes text in transit to a Web client, and parses the text into one or more tokens corresponding to one such key word. A comparator module matches the tokens against each unique identifier in the glossary and retrieves each structured record containing a matching unique identifier. A constructor inserts a hyperlink in place of the text corresponding to each matched token and references the definition contained in the retrieved structured record for the matching unique identifier.

摘要: A system for automatically displaying virtual objects within a mixed reality environment is described. In some embodiments, a see-through head-mounted display device (HMD) identifies a real object (e.g., a person or book) within a field of view of the HMD, detects one or more interactions associated with real object, and automatically displays virtual objects associated with the real object if the one or more interactions involve touching or satisfy one or more social rules stored in a social rules database. The one or more social rules may be used to infer a particular social relationship by considering the distance to another person, the type of environment (e.g., at home or work), and particular physical interactions (e.g., handshakes or hugs). The virtual objects displayed on the HMD may depend on the particular social relationship inferred (e.g., a friend or acquaintance).

摘要: The present invention additionally provides a kit for collecting the sinonasal specimen to analyze which pathogenic microbes cause a disease in a mammal, how to test the drug sensitivity against the infectious microbes in sinonasal cavities, and to help the selection of a pharmaceutical composition to selectively treat a disease of a mammal. The present invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a chemical compound or a herb extract or the combination having at least one of the activities of antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy, anti-cancer, promoting membrane healing or immunomodulating, for the treatment and prevention of a disease of a mammal. The invented method of treating a human disease reduces infectious and inflammation without causing antibiotic resistance or clinically noticeable adverse event.

摘要: A relaxation time constant associated with a fluid can be determined and then compared with a stored reference value. The difference between the relaxation time constant and the stored reference value can then be calculated in order to provide qualitative and/or quantitative data indicative of an adulteration of the fluid. The relaxation time constant associated with the fluid can be determined by first generating a static charge and then injecting the static charge into the fluid. The charge can then be collected from the fluid and utilized to determine the relaxation time constant.

摘要: An acoustic wave flow sensor is disclosed, which includes a sensor substrate and an acoustic wave diaphragm etched upon the sensor substrate, wherein mechanical stress or strain is concentrated in the acoustic wave diaphragm. One or more interdigital transducers can be configured upon the acoustic wave diaphragm, wherein the sensor substrate, the acoustic wave diaphragm and the interdigital transducer(s) form an acoustic wave flow sensor, such that when the interdigital transducer and the acoustic wave diaphragm are exposed to a fluid in flow, the fluid in flow causes the acoustic wave diaphragm to experience a change in the mechanical stress or strain resulting in a detectable frequency and/or phase change in order to provide an indication of fluid flow.
