Abstract: Provided is a method of producing a polyhydroxyalkanoate copolymer mixture. The method includes the step of culturing a microorganism that produces the polyhydroxyalkanoate copolymer mixture. The mixture contains: a fraction (I) containing a polyhydroxyalkanoate copolymer having a 3-hydroxybutyrate structural unit and a 3-hydroxyhexanoate structural unit, the fraction (I) having an average 3-hydroxyhexanoate unit ratio of 20 mol % or more; and a fraction (II) containing a polyhydroxyalkanoate having a 3-hydroxybutyrate structural unit, the fraction (II) having an average 3-hydroxyhexanoate unit ratio of 0 to 15 mol %. The polyhydroxyalkanoate copolymer mixture has an average 3-hydroxyhexanoate unit ratio of 22 mol % or less.
