    摘要: A battery pack is made up of a plurality of flat prismatic batteries arranged face to face, each battery having one electrode terminal protruding from one end face in the height direction of the battery case and this end face or a side face of the battery serving as the other electrode terminal. The connector for electrically connecting adjacent prismatic batteries includes a flat part that is welded to one electrode terminal of one prismatic battery of the adjacent prismatic batteries, and a cylindrical part that is fitted onto and welded to the other electrode terminal of the other prismatic battery. The cylindrical part is formed in an attachment part that extends from the flat part through an upright part in the direction in which the batteries are aligned. The connector enables reliable electrical connection of the prismatic batteries despite possible variation in height of the electrode terminals.

The secondary battery further includes a current collector placed on an end of the electrode body group on the top plate side and connected to the first electrode body of the electrode body group and a spacer placed between the top plate and the current collector. The top plate is partly formed with a thin portion. The spacer is formed with through holes in positions corresponding to the thin portion. The portion of the current collector corresponding to the thin portion is in contact with the thin portion through the through hole. The thin portion is deformed when the internal pressure of the battery case rises, thereby breaking electric connection between the top plate and the current collector.

    摘要: A secondary battery has a so-called tabless structure. An electrode group (4) includes an exposed end (1a) and a body portion (5). In the exposed end (1a), a current collector is exposed. In the body portion (5), an active material is provided on a surface of the current collector. A current collector plate (10) includes a principal surface (11) to which the electrode group (4) is connected, and projections (13) provided on the periphery of the principal surface (11). Moreover, in a direction in which a positive electrode plate (1), a porous insulating layer (3) and a negative electrode plate (2) are sequentially arranged, a width of the current collector plate (10) is equal to or smaller than a width of the body portion (5).
