    摘要: A swash plate type compressor is disclosed which is intended to prevent a hemispherical shoe, provided between the piston and the swash plate, from being spun on slat surface of the swash plate during operation of the compressor. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the swash plate is formed with a step and the shoe with a cut portion engageable with the step so that the shoe is prevented from being spun on the slant surface of the swash plate which provides a turning moment to the shoe. The step is formed by an annular projection having an annular wall portion defining the inner limit of the slant surface area of the swash plate with which the flat face of the hemispherical shoe is kept in sliding contact, and the cut portion of the shoe has a curved surface conforming to the curvature of the annular wall portion. The shoe is located with its cut portion slidably contactable with the annular wall portion.

    摘要: The cylinder block assembly (1a) of a swash plate type refrigerant compressor is formed with a suction passageway (17) in which a refrigerant gas containing a mist-like lubricant oil therein is sucked and passed therethrough, and a cylindrical separating chamber (22) is formed by an extension (21) from an inner wall of the suction passageway and has an opening directed toward an entering direction of a flow of the lubricant oil-containing refrigerant gas. The separating chamber (22) is provided with an bottom wall (22a) having a through-hole for an entrance of the oil, communicating between the separating chamber (22) and a swash plate chamber (4). The refrigerant gas containing the lubricant oil therein enters the cylindrical separating chamber (22) arranged in the suction passageway (17) and impringes upon an inner wall (22b) and the bottom wall (22a), whereby the flow direction thereof is changed, and flows out of the chamber through the opening into the suction passageway to thereby separate the lubricant oil from the refrigerant gas. The separated lubricant oil is supplied from the separating chamber (22) into the swash plate chamber (4), without overflowing from the chamber toward the suction passageway.

    摘要: A continuous seal ring member fitted in a ring groove of a piston of a compressor. The seal ring member has a washer-like initial shape with an internal diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the piston, whereby the inner peripheral portion of the seal ring member is expanded when the seal ring member is fitted in the ring groove. The outer peripheral portion of the ring seal member is then axially and inwardly collapsed relative to the inner peripheral portion thereof so that one of the side surfaces of the initial seal ring member constitutes an outer sealing surface for engagement with the cylinder bore and the outer peripheral portion in the original shape is arranged on the side of said compression chamber. A backup ring member fitted in the ring groove on the side of the continuous seal ring member remote from the compression chamber has a surface area abutting against the side surface of the ring groove on the side remote from the compression chamber and sufficient to retain the continuous seal ring member in the ring groove.

    摘要: A swash plate type compressor is provided with a plurality of cylinders and a front and rear cylinder blocks having a crank case connected to a suction port. The cylinder blocks are connected to a front and rear housing sections in order to cover the cylinders. Each housing section contains a discharge chamber. A drive shaft is rotatable supported by the cylinder blocks. One end of the drive shaft is sealed within the front housing. A swash plate is mounted on the drive shaft and is rotatably disposed within the crank case. A plurality of two-head pistons engage the swash plate via a pair of shoes. The pistons move within their respective cylinders in cooperation with the swash plate. The refrigerant is sucked into each cylinder via a suction passage, and is then compressed therein. The refrigerant is discharged into the external refrigerating circuit through the front and rear discharge chambers, .and the front and rear discharge ports. A discharge passage is provided within the drive shaft, and interconnects the front and rear discharge chambers. A valve is provided at one end of the discharge passage to control the opening of the discharge port in relation to the pressure difference between the front and rear discharge chambers.

A surface of a piston extending perpendicular to an axis of the piston is machined by annularly moving a cutting element while the cutting element is rotated with respect to the piston to form an annularly cut portion. The surface is further machined by moving the same cutting element in a direction toward the surface while the cutting element and the piston are relatively rotated to form a hemispherical recess in the surface. The firstly formed annularly cut portion becomes an annular chamfered portion on the periphery of the hemispherical recess. In this way, it is possible to form the hemispherical recess, and the annular chamfered portion on the periphery thereof, with the common cutting tool.

A disc cam (13) having opposite sinuous surfaces (13') and rotatably accommodated within a cam chamber (5) is fixedly secured to the drive shaft (3), and a pair of front and rear cam rollers (14F, 14R) are arranged between the disc cam (13) and the piston (8) in a slidable and rotatable manner so as to nip the disc cam (13) between both cam rollers (14F, 14R) to transmit the rotation of the disc cam (13) to the piston (8) as a reciprocation in the longitudinal direction thereof. The front and rear cam rollers (14F, 14R) are positioned so that the axes of rotation thereof are not included in the center plane defined by longitudinal axes of the piston (8) and the disc cam (13) but disposed, respectively, in the opposite areas sectioned by the center plane with a substantially equal deviation from each other from the center plane. According to the above structure, the rolling motion of the piston (8) can be effectively restricted throughout the operation of the compressor.
