    摘要: An ultrasonic flowmeter includes a measurement pipe through which a fluid flows, and two ultrasonic transceivers provided on outer side portions of the measurement pipe so as to be spaced apart from each other in an axis direction. In the method of producing the ultrasonic flowmeter, fabricating the measurement pipe in advance is fabricated, and then is set in a mold as an insert. Two transmitting bodies are formed by insert molding on the outer side portions of the measurement pipe so as to be spaced apart from each other in the axis direction, so that the two transmitting bodies are integral with the measurement pipe. The two ultrasonic transceivers are mounted on the two transmitting bodies, respectively.

The weather strip includes an extruded portion and a molded portion connected to the extruded portion and having a trim and a hollow seal. The trim includes a first wall from which the hollow seal extends. The first wall has a slot provided with a rounded corner. A second wall extends from the first wall in a direction opposite the hollow seal. A third wall extends from the second wall in a manner opposing the first wall. The third wall includes a cutaway portion defined at a position facing the slot of the first wall. The cutaway portion includes a rounded corner. A core used to mold the hollow seal of the molded portion is removed from the molded portion through the slot and the cutaway portion.

The method includes the steps of cutting-off a portion of the tubular seal portion from the end of the extruded weather strip with the base portion thereof remaining uncut, placing the uncut base portion of the end of the extruded weather strip in a cavity of a mold, placing a core along the uncut base portion, injecting a molding material into the cavity to mold a tubular part having a configuration conforming to the cut off tubular seal portion integrally with a fin-like end part extending from the tubular part, opening the mold, and removing the core from the tubular part along a reverse face of the fin-like end part.

    摘要: A mold for joining a molded portion onto an end of an extruded weather strip without having any looseness in the joint formed therebetween, and which facilitates removal of a fin formed in the molded portion. The mold includes mold members defining a cavity at an end of which an end of the extruded weather strip is placed, and to which a molding material is injected. The mold members further define a tunnellike additional cavity in a parting plane therebetween. The tunnellike additional cavity extends along a peripheral edge of the cavity so that an end thereof is located at the position beyond the end of the extruded weather strip. A passage is also defined in the parting plane so as to interconnect the cavity and the tunnellike additional cavity for introducing a molding material into the tunnellike additional cavity. The passage extends to a position close to but not beyond the end of the extruded weather strip.

The method includes the steps of inserting the end of the extruded weather strip into a cavity of a mold, the cavity having a cross-sectional shape identical with that of the end of the extruded weather strip. The method further includes injecting a molding material into the cavity from a gate of the mold while throttling the molding material flowing to the end of the lip-shaped sealing portion of the extruded weather strip by a protruding portion protruding into a passageway of the cavity leading to the end of the lip-shaped sealing portion of the extruded weather strip at a position close thereto. This causes the pressure of the molding material acting on the end of the lip-shaped sealing portion of the extruded weather strip to be smaller than that of the molding material acting on an end of the base portion of the extruded weather strip.
