    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided. The linear compressor may include a shell including a suction inlet, a cylinder provided in the shell to define a compression space for a refrigerant, a piston reciprocated in an axial direction within the cylinder, a discharge valve provided on or at one side of the cylinder to selectively discharge the refrigerant compressed in the compression space, at least one nozzle disposed in the cylinder to introduce at least a portion of the refrigerant discharged through the discharge valve into the cylinder, and a passage to guide the refrigerant discharged from the discharge valve to the at least one nozzle.

    Abstract: A linear compressor includes: a piston configured to reciprocate in an axial direction, and a cylinder that is provided on a radially outer side of the piston to accommodate the piston and that defines a compression space with the piston. The cylinder includes: a gas hole defined at the cylinder such that a first end of the gas hole is at an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder and a second end of the gas hole is at an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder, and a gas pocket that is in communication with the gas hole and that is recessed from the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder, where a length of the gas pocket in the axial direction of the cylinder is longer than a length of the gas pocket in a circumferential direction of the cylinder.

The first muffler unit includes an inner guide disposed in the piston and a first intake muffler disposed at a rear of the inner guide. The second muffler unit includes a second intake muffler that communicates with the first intake muffler and is coupled to the opening, a muffler body surrounding the second intake muffler, and a muffler cover disposed between the muffler body and the back cover.

    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell; a compressor body accommodated in the shell to compress a refrigerant; a discharge cover assembly through which the refrigerant compressed in the compressor body may be discharged; a cover pipe that extends from the discharge cover assembly to discharge the refrigerant discharged into the discharge cover assembly to an outside of the discharge cover assembly; a discharge pipe coupled to the shell to discharge the refrigerant flowing along the cover pipe to an outside of the shell; a loop pipe having a first end connected to the cover pipe and a second end connected to the discharge pipe; and a coupling member that respectively couples both the first and second ends of the loop pipe to the cover pipe and the discharge pipe. The coupling member may include a connection member, a first portion of which is inserted into the loop pipe and a second portion of which is inserted into the discharge pipe or the cover pipe. The connection member may be formed of a steel material. At least one of the discharge pipe or the cover pipe may be formed of a steel material.
